Vicious Kicks Off 30 Year Celebration with Remix of "My Feelings For You"

Don Diablo puts his spin on Avicii and Sebastien Drums’ “My Feelings For You” as Vicious launches their 30 Year celebration.

Australian imprint Vicious has been a force to be reckoned with in the dance music scene over the past three decades. Over the years they have become a home for some of the biggest club anthems to date from artists like Peking Duk, Dirty South, Laidback Luke, Marcus Knight, Swanky Tunes, and more. Now, to celebrate this massive milestone, Vicious has looked to current artists in the scene to put their spin on tracks from the imprint – and first up is Don Diablo with his take on Avicii and Sebastien Drums‘ “My Feelings For You.”

Originally released back in 2010, “My Feelings For You” was one of the first tracks that led to Avicii’s eventual rise to the top of the dance music scene. Teaming up with Sebastien Drums to bring it to life, this tune was actually a remix of Cassius’ original that dropped in 1999 yet saw the two artists bring it up to speed with dancefloors of the era. For the lead remix in this new series, Don Diablo puts his own fresh take on “My Feelings For You,” layering in elements of his future house sound while retaining the core elements that made the track a top-charting hit over a decade ago.

“My Feelings For You” was the first Avicii record I came across twelve years ago. I have always been a fan of the original record by Cassius whom I had just remixed around that same time. So the record always held a special place in my heart, especially since both Tim and Zdar from Cassius are no longer with us.

The release of this remix doesn’t just arrive with the 30 Year celebration in mind, as Don Diablo and Vicious are also intent on giving back as well. All profits from his remix of “My Feelings For You” have been pledged to the Tim Bergling Foundation in memory of Avicii and his ongoing legacy in the world.
