Dynamic rising artist Caster drops his captivating, genre-bending EP, The Witching Hour, on Ophelia Records.
Caster is quickly rising the ranks of the scene with his unique production skills, immersive soundscapes, powerful drops, and spellbinding build-ups that leave anyone in a trance when they listen to his music. Known to blend elements from multiple genres together like dubstep and psytrance seamlessly, his talents and attention to detail are evident in every track he produces.
This past year saw Caster release the Sinner’s Sanctum EP on Subsidia and reveal his true identity to his fans as he was previously shrouded in anonymity. He also dropped a psytrance-fueled collaboration with Ironheart, “Kingslayer” and also teamed up with F.O.O.L. for “INERTIA,” while kicking off 2022 with “Shadowblade” and a thrilling remix of Wooli’s “The Core.” Now, Caster has delivered his latest enthralling release on Ophelia Records, The Witching Hour, which offers up two tracks that feature elements of psytrance, dubstep, midtempo, drum and bass, and more.
This intense journey through sound begins with “Sacrificial” which guides listeners on an energetic ride filled with provocative break-downs, bewitching synths, and heavy bass as listeners hold on tight for its full six-minute runtime. The second tune, “Syzygy” sees Caster look to Moon Rush for a collaboration that is just as much of a wild ride as the previous one with elements of hard dance and cryptic melodies sprinkled in for a satisfying close to the release perfectly.
The Witching Hour further builds excitement from fans who hope to catch Caster take the stage soon. With a flurry of releases already under his belt and support from major artists like Ophelia label-head Seven Lions, Excision, SLANDER, and NGHTMRE, it’s only a matter of time before he rises to the top.
