Fans of Duke Dumont can rejoice as the beloved house artist announced he’s bringing his DUALITY LIVE show to Coachella this year.
Duke Dumont captivated the hearts of his global fanbase two years ago by delivering his debut album DUALITY to get everyone in a proper groove. This album became the soundtrack for many during the pandemic as they looked toward brighter days ahead and yearned for the next time they could see him take the stage once again. In 2021, those cravings to catch him spin were satiated for those who were able to attend his DUALITY LIVE shows at venues like The Shrine in LA and Avant Gardner in NYC – but fans continued to hope for more.
Now, the beloved house maestro announced that those who make their way to his sets during both weekends of Coachella this year will be in for a treat as the DUALITY LIVE show is set to reemerge. This unique experience plays into the thematic elements of the album and offers plenty more for those who are paying close attention as hidden elements add to the ambiance.
“My aim was to create an electronic opera, with polar opposite themes that come together as one,” said Duke Dumont about DUALITY LIVE. “The show on one hand has authoritative elements demonstrated on the song ‘OBEY’, to the polar opposite being the freedom and oneness that is experienced on the song ‘Together.’”
For those who couldn’t catch his previous shows and are unfamiliar, this experience from Duke Dumont sees him perform between two layers of optics that include dual-LED wall structures and interaction between the screens for maximum effect. As the stunning visuals are put on display, Duke Dumont deconstructs and reconstructs his tracks with instant access to different loops and synthesizers via custom modular synths, Moogs, a TR 808, and more.
