Since announcing the music lineup earlier this year the hype for the return of Lightning in a Bottle is at an all-time high. The beloved transformational festival will return to Buena Vista Lake in Kern County, CA on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-30. Artists set to play at the festival include Glass Animals, Kaytranada, GRiZ, CloZee, G Jones b2b Eprom, Black Coffee, Maya Jane Coles, and Kyle Watson. Not to mention all the other tunes that can be found across the LiB landscape at stages like The Grand Artique and The Stacks.
There certainly won’t be any shortage of music across the five days at Lightning in a Bottle, but that’s not all that they have in store as there will be a plethora of activities, workshops, tasty eats, and more to explore this year. Whether you want to tap into your flow, learn something new, or see some art there will be more than enough creators and experiences around to fulfill your fix.
Some movement options available to attendees include Amplified Yoga led by Donovan McGrath with Rob Garza, Lakshmi Yoga Flow with Susanna Barkataki, ACRO YOGA 101 with Andrew 7 Sealy, and Deep Exhale with Cristi Christensen & Marques Wyatt. You can even dive deeper into the workshops with Kundalini: Total System Recharge with Jai Dev Singh, Embodied Resilience Yoga with Michelle Nayeli Bouvier, Sunday Stomp Ecstatic Dance with Dragonfly, and Unlock Your Shakti: Yoga, Fusion Belly Dance, & Flow with Deb Rubin. There will be also countless immersive art installations and interactive programming of all kinds. This includes The Fire Flow Zone where attendees can learn to dance with fire, the Dün installation that premiered at Rüfüs Du Sol’s Banc of California shows, The Fungineers Art Car, Must-Dash 5k, Jive Joint, and Playa Relámpago. And, if you really just want to kick back and relax there is always The Gong Sanctuary, Meditation Grove, and The Giving Tree.
Additionally, those looking to pick up some community-crafted goods will certainly want to check out the marketplace that’s filled with vibrant vendors. Shops such as Audri’s Alchemy, Bambuddha, Boho Coats, El Gato Montes, Fire Kult, Third Eye Pinecones, Eternal Mode, and more will be showing off their best wares. On the food vendor side, there will also be a plethora of tasty treats ranging from Big Phan and Awesome Sauce Kitchen to Bungkus Bagus and Happy Buddha Bowls – and of course, the Dough Lab will be on-site for all your pizza cravings.
