After returning to the main stage at Ultra Music Festival this past weekend, Hardwell drops two fresh singles for fans to feast on.
Hardwell has made quite an impressive return to the forefront of the minds of his fans around the world. The buzz for his headlining set to close Ultra Music Festival in Miami bubbled over once he took the stage as he delivered a dose of big room techno sounds to the masses. Then, he paired that with the news that he would be embarking on a global tour to further trumpet his return and kick the energy up a few more notches.
Today, Hardwell continues on his path of domination with the first two singles to drop from his forthcoming album, REBELS NEVER DIE, which is due out on Revealed Recordings later this year. He teased both “BROKEN MIRROR” and “INTO THE UNKNOWN” as the opening tracks for his set at Ultra Miami, and both shine a light on what’s to come from the 14-track collection of tunes as he continues his own sonic transformation.
“BROKEN MIRROR” is a haunting track that embraces the darker side of Hardwell that will appear on the album. The voice you hear is that of the legendary artist himself as he questions who he is before dropping a powerful statement that says, “I know you have your opinion. But let’s be honest… Your opinion of me does not define who I am. Because I know what you want me to be. Now, I’m gonna show you who I truly am.” This gives everyone a snapshot into the mind of Hardwell that’s further enhanced by the eerie, dystopian nature of the track.
Once the perfect intro for this new journey into the depths has been completed, Hardwell guides everyone “INTO THE UNKNOWN.” This atmospheric tune is layered with techno elements that will immediately captivate souls from the jump. The larger-than-life nature of this track is further put on display with its driving beat and synths that titillate the senses while the vocal offers a soothing break from the madness.
Listen to “BROKEN MIRROR” and “INTO THE UNKNOWN” on Spotify or your preferred platform, pre-save REBELS NEVER DIE and stay tuned for more from Hardwell as he gears up for his forthcoming album to drop!
