SIR Wraps Up an Eventful Year with “Unlocked”

SIR

Budding DJ and producer SIR closes this year’s chapter and kicks off a new one with her freeform bass single, “Unlocked.”

While the pandemic ravaged the live music industry in early 2020, many aspiring artists used quarantine as a time to experiment and hone their craft. Coming out of this massive wave of new talent is SIR, whose fusion of worldly sounds and freeform bass hypnotizes all who listen. She first took to the stage in December 2020 with DJ sets until eventually trying her hand at production earlier this year. Since then, the up-and-comer has made quite the name for herself within the Florida scene through opening slots for Boogie T, Champagne Drip, Toadface, Khiva, and many other bass heavyweights.

Noted for her Full Moon mix series which includes mixes individually tailored to astrological signs, SIR has had quite the breakout year. Now, she finishes 2021 on a high note with her new single, “Unlocked,” which is due out on December 30. Driven by reverberating swells of bass, this tune joins beautifully haunting chord progressions with ambient flair. As seductive hi-hats patter beneath echoed whispers, mesmerized listeners are left with the burning question, “Why haven’t I checked out SIR sooner?”

Unlocked brings you through losing and finding yourself again. Unlocking a new part of yourself and not to being afraid of letting go of old versions of yourself.
