Q-dance was forced to cancel Qlimax The Reawakening due to the new COVID restrictions so instead, they will host a free event, Qlimax Distorted Reality.

After almost two years, it finally seemed like The Netherlands had reached the light at the end of the tunnel regarding their COVID lockdowns. Despite an impressive 88.3% vaccination rate for the entire country as of November 14, the Dutch government has once again announced a new set of COVID restrictions amid a recent surge of cases. As a result, Q-dance was forced to cancel Qlimax The Reawakening, originally set to take place at the GelreDome in the Netherlands on November 20.

In their initial statement, Q-dance said that throughout the pandemic, they’ve “had multiple cancellations, but this one certainly delivers the biggest blow” as it was set to be the biggest hardstyle event since the pandemic began. While this announcement has caused pain and stress to the entire team and dedicated fans, Q-dance has once again gone above and beyond to deliver an unforgettable experience to everyone looking forward to the event.

On Saturday, November 20, Q-dance is putting on Qlimax Distorted Reality. This free event proves to be Q-dance’s biggest challenge yet as they are still committed to giving fans a unique experience with less than a week’s time before the event. From 11am to 4pm PT (8pm to 1am CET), hardstyle fans will experience an immersive journey where they make the rules. The possibilities and speculations are endless, but you just have to be there to find out. Additionally, before jumping into sets from the biggest names in the scene, the Q-dance Network will be airing exclusive content from the event’s grand 20-year history dubbed Qlimax The Legacy from 7am to 11am PT (4pm to 8pm CET).

There’s no doubt that this is shaping up to be quite an insurmountable task, but Q-dance is dedicated to giving fans the best experience possible. With all of the artists on the original lineup still set to take part in the event, this livestream will fuel only the best of your rave cave parties and make for a great alternative despite the bad situation.

Fans from all over the world can attend Qlimax Distorted Reality for free via the Q-dance Network app or website. The full lineup will be announced on Qlimax socials on Thursday, November 19 so stay tuned!
