Bonobo returns with his latest single, “Rosewood,” along with news of his next album, Fragments, and a world tour coming to a city near you.

Fans from far and wide have waited patiently throughout the pandemic as world-renowned DJ and producer Simon Green, better known by his stage name Bonobo, has put the finishing touches on his latest body of work, Fragments. Today, we are now one step closer to realizing the next chapter in this storied producer’s immaculate body of work. Due out January 14 on Ninja Tune Records, this will be the global superstar’s most significant body of work yet.

As the album’s namesake suggests, this release from Bonobo was born out of fragmented bits and pieces of ideas during the global shutdown. The project became more cohesive over time once he realized the one element that would bring the entire thing together is the timeless power of collaboration. Landing a spot on Fragments will be none other than Jamila Woods, Joji, Kadhja Bonet, and Jordan Rakei, to name a few. Also joining this collaborative treasure is none other than Ninja Tune label mate O’Flynn and legendary LA-based musical mastermind Miguel Atwood-Ferguson.

While Bonobo has stated that he produces the best work while on the road, the global lockdown required him to turn inward within himself and dig deep into how to flush out new musical ideas while at home. The lead single, “Rosewood,” came to life after Bonobo sought refuge from the overbearing realities of the pandemic and the turbulent times that have defined our world over the past two years.

Fragments promises to be some of the artist’s most dancefloor-centric work to date, with Bonobo saying that he “remembered all over again how much I loved crowds and movement and people connecting with each other” when drawing influence for the album. It also aims to instill joy in all who listen, from the most energetic uptempo rhythms to the most reflective and emotional melodies. And if there is one artist who can lift our spirits out of the dark times and remind us all why we fell in love with the dance floor in the first place, it’s Bonobo.

Bonobo will be taking Fragments on the road when he heads out on tour this February across North America, Europe, and the UK. Be sure to stream and download “Rosewood” now on Spotify below or your favorite platform!

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
