Grammy-nominated producer Jax Jones has gifted fans with four fresh tunes to jam out to with the release of the Deep Joy EP on WUGD.

Jax Jones is an artist in the dance music scene who has always seemed to have his finger on the pulse of dancefloors around the world. Over the years he’s delivered countless originals like “House Work” and “i miss u” with Au/Ra, along with remixes of tunes like “Pump It Up” that tug at heartstrings and put feet into a shuffle frenzy simultaneously. More recently, Jax Jones embarked on his latest adventure with the launch of his new imprint, WUGD, and has delivered a sensational EP to get everyone in a groove this summer.

Out now across all platforms, the Deep Joy EP features four tracks that see Jax Jones explore a range of styles that include everything from classic house to deeper cuts infused with a touch of lo-fi. The previously released single “Feels” leads the charge with its dancefloor-ready beat that sets a proper groove and is paired perfectly with a vocal that will ignite a fire in your soul. His collaboration with Jem Cooke, “Crystallise,” arrives next and offers an infectious beat that you simply won’t be able to get enough of.

It’s really exciting to be putting out this much music right now and through my new label WUGD. I’m trying new sounds and styles, which I hope you guys dig. I’ve been releasing tunes every other week and am enjoying doing things way more instinctively with this EP while keeping collaboration with WUGD artists at the centre of it all.

“You Broke My Heart Again” sees Jax Jones explore new sounds as he teams up with Teqkoi and Aiko to bring this emotional tune to life. First hearing the original on a lo-fi hip-hop YouTube Channel, he quickly reached out to the two artists to spin it in a new way and worked with them on Zoom to produce the final version. It’s a touching track that turns the vibes down a notch with a deep house vibe with a touch of trap influence but plucks at heartstrings with its lyrics to keep you coming back for another round.

Closing out the release is “Paris,” which was co-produced with the newly-formed duo System.Inc and channels uplifting, classic house vibes to make for a proper summer anthem. Perfect for listening to while hanging out with friends or dancing under a disco ball at a nightclub, we couldn’t think of a better tune to close out this release that marks a new era for Jax Jones.
