Take a vivid trip with Slumber as the duo of Öona Dahl and Amber Cox unveil the four-track Twin Moon EP on Guy Gerber’s label, Rumors.

The brilliant minds of Öona Dahl and Amber Cox have come together once again to make their return as Slumber. It’s been three years since they unveiled the Temple Versions EP on Motek, which breathed new life into their 2016 track “Temple” with Amunet Shah. Fans have craved more ever since, and now Slumber has delivered a helping of new tunes on their Twin Moon EP that was just released on Guy Gerber’s Rumors imprint.

The Twin Moon EP is a prism of colorful artistry that will catch the attention of dreamers who are on the hunt for soulful elevation. The first track, “Envoke,” starts the EP off with a hypnotic beat with soft vocal undertones from Lucia Luna. Her voice tiptoes into the ears and invites listeners to fall deeper into a relaxed state of mind. The tones of the uplifting hi-hats and snares seal the peaceful aura and create excitement from each element before the track fades out.

Now that you’re in a dream-like state, you’ll be carried through the sky higher and mesmerized by a “Night Kiss” as bassline kicks into the vision and echoes throughout the body with each beat pattern. The rhythm can be compared to a shifting kaleidoscope that adds wonder with each breath. The claps tied in contrast to the buzzing synths add layers of intensity as listeners are guided by the song’s tapering chords to completion.

Then, Slumber offers up a colorful imaginary world with “Sideways.” The beat tells the listener to breathe as it thuds forward into the next vivid soundscape. That steady kick drum and soft hi-hats add a powerful vision as the sustaining notes help the mind soar to greater heights. As the track drifts towards the edges of their mind, one can only imagine the soundwaves flowing like a waterfall of blues and purples.

Awakening the listener, the title track “Twin Moon” arrives at last with its fading bells and chimes that alert the senses in tow. It successfully notifies the listener that it is time to drift back into reality. The tones of this track dance with the mind for one last blissful moment as it fades into universal space and the story comes full circle.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Slumber’s Twin Moon EP yet – start dreaming now! Enjoy the REM cycles by listening to it on Spotify or your favorite platform, and make sure to stay tuned for more from the hypnotizing duo!
