yetep Conveys Deep Emotion on His ‘Broken’ EP

yetep continues to push the boundaries of melodic bass music forward with the release of his Broken EP, out now on Subsidia!

Since first bursting onto the scene in 2018, yetep has given his growing fanbase lush melodies and emotional chords while incorporating heavier bass elements into his releases. The result has been widely successful songs for this budding producer, including last year’s Here & Now EP along with his debut on Subsidia with “Worlds Away.”

Continuing his run on Subsidia in 2021, yetep has now unveiled his latest body of work, the Broken EP. He continues to flaunt his mesmerizing production skills that are equally both heavy and emotional to create an outstanding release. And to cap it off, he’s also teamed up with KLAXX, Nick Ledesma, juuku, GhostDragon, and vocalists like Exede and Ja¥en x District to add even more magic into the mix.

I have always admired the way that Excision’s Subsidia label brings people together, who love melodic & bass music. It was important for me to show a glimpse of melodic & heavy sounds, a side that some are really not accustomed to hearing from me. I also wanted to showcase new artists to the Subsidia family, I know it says “yetep” on the artwork, but please check out all of the artists involved in this. “BROKEN EP” is definitely a collaborative ground of work and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

yetep begins Broken by teaming up with KLAXX for a heavyweight tune dubbed “Align”!

yetep kicked off this phenomenal EP with his tune with KLAXX, “Align,” and it’s filled with pure energy! It begins with a cinematic intro that sets the tone for the rest of the EP and from there, it builds up into a flurry of heavy drums and unique synths. KLAXX and yetep do a remarkable job of providing an atmosphere where you can completely lose yourself.

After “Align” you’ll definitely need to catch your breath, but yetep gives listeners “Running After Us” right after. This track sees him teaming up with Nick Ledesma and dynamic duo Exede. They cook up a beautiful, melodic bass track that will have you lost in your feels the minute you press play. Powerful vocals are provided from Exede’s Ben and elevate this track to the next level.

At the midway point in the EP, listeners are hit with another jolt of energy from KLAXX on “Sacrifice.” While the first half of the song is melodic bass the second half is where the energy is kicked up a notch. You may even want to start head-banging when that second drop comes in!

yetep saves the best for last on his last two tracks on the EP, “broken” and “Let You Go.”

Arguably the best track on the EP is the title track, “broken.” yetep teams up fellow producer juuku and vocalists Ja¥en x District to create this emotional ride. Between the production elements and the vocals, you can clearly hear the sadness and heartbreak that this track conveys.

The final track, “Let You Go,” is the perfect ending to this exhilarating release. Not only does it contrast the heartbreak on the previous track “broken,” but it also conveys a message of finally letting go of someone once the journey is all over. The track has vocals once again from Exede and also adds some flair from GhostDragon in for good measure. There’s a sense of peace that sweeps over you while listening to the track. It’s calm, melodic, and an unbelievable way to end this body of work.

Without a doubt, you’ll want to listen to this entire EP a second the minute it is over. It’s full of amazing production and storytelling elements of love and heartbreak. We can’t wait to see what yetep comes up with next after dropping this outstanding EP on Subsidia, so make sure to follow him on socials!
