The Deepshakerz make their debut on Sola Nauts with their latest release, To the Sky, a three-track EP full of soulful dance tunes.
When you blend iconic music styles like vocal house, afro-beats, ’90s techno, and Chicago style together, you get The Deepshakerz. This Italian duo is passionate about creating soulful, feel-good music, and today, Domy Berardino and Mirco Sonatore are making their debut on Sola Nauts with the release of To the Sky, a three-track EP that will make you groove.
Sola Nauts is the sub-label of Sola, which was created by the dynamic duo Solardo with the intention to venture into the more underground and experimental world of house and techno music. Even though this label might be new in the landscape of house and techno, it is definitely finding talent that falls under this umbrella, hence this fresh release from The Deepshakerz.
When asked about the EP, The Deepshakerz shared that they’ve “Always been great fans of Solardo and for us, this is a huge pleasure and honour to have their constant support and to be invited to release on Nauts. We think this new EP is the perfect blend for all underground music lovers!‘
The EP opens with the title track “To the Sky,” a very dark and seductive tune supported by smooth vocals. It possesses that throwback, ’90s groove sound with a harmonious drop. The other two tracks, “Watching” and “Hidden Face” featuring Shyam P, feel more tribal in comparison. You can hear the various styles of music throughout this EP, and it’s cool to hear how The Deepshakerz experimented with a variety of sounds in unison.
