Over the past few years, Day Trip has become one of the go-to party-throwers in Los Angeles for those who have been looking for some sweet sounds to close out their weekend. Known for their fantastic lineups that are brimming with some of the best artists in the scene, the Sundays spent at Academy LA or evenings spent at Exchange LA have been sorely missed as the pandemic continues to rock SoCal.

But have no fear if you were looking to start 2021 on the right foot because the Day Trip crew has you covered with a livestream running all day and night to satiate those cravings for house music. After delivering a sensational virtual experience to close out the summer over Labor Day Weekend they’ve returned with New Year’s Day Trip Livestream, and it’s shaping up to be quite the experience with some of the scene’s finest artists and rising stars alike.

Beginning at 12pm PT on January 1 with Monki, the livestream is set to feature legends such as Benny Benassi, Mark Farina, Mark Knight, and Lee Foss. The lineup gets even better from there as other performances from Gene Farris, John Summit, and Sam Divine will surely make you bust a move in the comfort of your own rave cave. The Brothers Macklovitch (A-Trak and Dave 1 of Chromeo) will be throwing down some heaters as well, and who better than Yotto to help take house music lovers to a bliss-like state with an After After Afterparty set? He’s a can’t miss as well if you’re looking to catch a vibe.

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
