Trance Veteran Jorn van Deynhoven Announces His Farewell Experience

After 15 years as a producer in the trance scene, Jorn van Deynhoven has announced that he’s decided to move his career in a new direction.

Over the years, Jorn van Deynhoven solidified his place among the most beloved artists in the trance music scene. Well-known for hit tracks like “Rising High,” “101010 (The Perfect Ten),” and “New Horizons,” which became the anthem for ASOT 650, he also graced the stage at countless festivals around the world. He recovered from an unsettling life situation that came his way in 2018 and after an appearance at A State of Trance 950, he appeared poised to rekindle the spark his fan-base so enjoyed.

This year saw Jorn van Deynhoven return to form with the release of a trance album titled The Future Is Now right before the COVID-19 pandemic overtook the world’s operations. We spoke with him before the album’s release as well where he expressed the beauty of coming back to the market he carved his career out of. But in a post to his Facebook page, he’s announced that he’s embraced “the final song” of this chapter in his career.

With this new announcement, his days of producing and remixing come to a close. He expressed how proud he is of the artist album released back in March and all his music has done in touching others. His forthcoming single, “Viva la Vida,” is the final puzzle piece from the album and will feature an “epic remix” upon its release. This does not mean he will give up all his sparkling talent behind the mixing board but instead will focus on co-productions and management instead of original works.

Fear not, Jorn van Deynhoven will perform still over the next few years!

If you missed out on seeing Jorn’s energy behind the decks or diving into the impressive catalog of music he shares with the world, you still have opportunities. He’s committed to touring and performing over the next three years (at least) and expressed his excitement for the coming experience. In the post, he also shared that the third year will be all about a farewell tour where he can play his “best of” catalog for fans one more time. His booking agency, Dancefield, is already working on the concept to create something for everyone to enjoy around the world.

Finally, Jorn expressed his joy and gave thanks to his fans, the man that is Armin van Buuren, the team at Cloud 9 Music Publishing and Armada Music, and his management team and business partner. It will be a slow march to the end, but there is no doubt that Jorn will craft plenty of memories before he fully departs to live his best life after retiring from the maddening scene. The team at EDM Identity expresses their thanks for the memories and the joy he’s brought to so many trance family members over the years.
