Maximals Keep Life Funky Fresh with the ‘Reset’ EP

Maximals lands on Protocol Recordings with a groovy three-track EP that will help Reset your mind and wash those winter blues away.

Over the years, Italian duo Maximals has become known for delivering some of the most groovy, danceable beats in the scene. They accomplish this by looking to influences from the ’70s and ’80s while incorporating various electronic elements throughout to give their style a fresh vibe. Now, the duo has welcomed their eleventh release on Nicky Romero‘s well-established label, Protocol Recordings with the release of their latest EP, Reset, that brings their funky sound with it.

Opening track “No More” sees the duo create a powerful introduction to the EP with a perfect blend of soul and disco as it features echoing vocals and strong piano chords. When paired with the synths vibrating through your ears, they’ve created the perfect track for anyone to dance their worries away to.

“So Good” follows next and keeps the energy levels high with its own offering of vocal chops and a bassline that will make you groove away in a matter of moments. This track feels as though you are taking a trip through time with futuristic elements layered in for good measure to really make it pop. Then Maximals takes listeners back to a ’70s dancefloor filled with colorful lights and disco balls with “You Got Me.” This funky track is what makes the duo stand out as they continue to put their outstanding ability to bring the past to the present with a modern twist on classic disco and house music soundscapes.

As the title alludes to, Reset creates a fresh feeling during this otherwise lonely time of the year. Get the dancefloor in your rave cave ready and give it a spin, you won’t regret it! Listen to Reset on Spotify or your preferred platform and be sure to let us know what you think of these three tracks in the comments.
