ATTLAS draws upon influences from nature for his debut, two-track release on Lane 8’s This Never Happened, Faya / The Crack.
One of the artists in the dance music scene who has continued to prove their greatness this year, even in the face of the pandemic, is ATTLAS. A familiar face on the mau5trap roster, he started the year off strongly with the release of Lavender God, a ten-track album brimming with amazing tunes. Now, he’s further proven himself by landing on Lane 8’s This Never Happened with his latest tracks, “Faya” and “The Crack.”
Out now for your listening pleasure, both tunes from ATTLAS put his ability to create surreal soundscapes on full display as he whisks listeners off on a journey well worth taking. Inspired from his own immersion in nature on a trip to national parks in Ontario (Faya is a lake in the Province and The Crack is a hiking trail), each tune is dripping with serenity that will immediately captivate your soul and lift your spirits.
“Faya” was featured in Lane 8’s recent sunrise set on Grand Lake in Colorado, a perfect fit for the inspiration behind the track and its emotional tones. “The Crack” follows suit with its melodic nature that offers up peaceful, progressive sounds and a build up to a drop that will get anyone’s feet tapping along, even if they’re lounging the day away in a hammock while watching the world pass by. These two tracks are ones not to miss if you’re a fan of ATTLAS, new or old.
