Sysdemes Returns to mau5trap with the ‘Inertia’ EP

Rising star Sysdemes is back with another treat for fans of his fresh style in the form of the four-track Inertia EP that’s out now on mau5trap!

If you’re on the hunt for the next wave of talented artists in the progressive, electro, and techno realm then there’s no doubt that mau5trap is a label that should be on your radar. The label has become a home for artists who are pushing the boundaries in the dance music scene and one of those producers is none other than Sysdemes.

Since first becoming part of the mau5trap family, Sysdemes has consistently impressed with some fantastic releases like Fade while also finding a home on the We Are Friends series as well. Now, he’s carrying us all to the end of the summer with his latest EP, Inertia, that features four stunners that will dominate your eardrums with their electrifying electro sounds.

Sysdemes kicks the EP off in style with “era, ov,” a track that puts his electro-driven sound on full display with a hard-hitting beat, vocal sample, and glitched out elements that make this one of his best tunes yet. But the energy delivered on the lead track doesn’t wane as the rest of Inertia is oozing with energy that will make feet move on any makeshift dancefloor.

Both “First Aid” and “Industry Complex” arrive as perfect peak-time tunes that will pummel any crowd with their hypnotic basslines and have them losing their minds. Closing out the EP is “nxs,” which will surely be a delight to any shuffler looking to get their footwork on point. This track will take anyone who listens down a dark rabbit hole to a subterranean world of Sysdemes’ creation and make them crave more in no time at all.

I wanted to push the boundary of what electro could be with this project while still writing with the club in mind. I can honestly say that I’ve put more time and effort into this release than any of my other EPs. Making full length animations to accompany each track was a challenge and took way more time than I had predicted, but it was worth it in the end. I hope people will resonate with the idea behind the artwork.

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment.
