Los Angeles-born, New York-based artist Sir. Roscoe continues to solidify his place in the house and techno scene with a mix that will make your body move.
Since first breaking onto the scene back in 2008, Justin Weaver, better known as Sir. Roscoe, has proven how important it is to be an artist that draws from a variety of styles to make their music stand out from the rest. Over the years he’s incorporated sounds from g-house, peak-time techno, and deep house, to create hypnotic EPs like Frustrated Funk and Brooklyn Nights. Most recently he teamed up with New York-based artist DJ Lostcat for a new collab under the $COECAT name to drop a fresh tune called “We Shoot Cops” that’s out on The Awakening: Pestilent Expressions III.
But production is just one aspect of Sir. Roscoe‘s prowess as he consistently spins sets that have crowds lighting up dancefloors to the highly-curated beats in his arsenal. Currently living in New York, he’s played at venues like Brooklyn Mirage and a number of underground events while house and techno lovers on the West Coast yearn for his return so they can dance the night away once again.
Beyond his skills in the studio and behind the decks, Sir. Roscoe also runs underground label Street Soundz Records that puts his tastemaking abilities on full display. While the underground label has played host to his own releases like Running Away, it also has seen other artists like Mike Berardi, J.Gill, and Annika Wolfe deliver quality EPs.
Now, Sir. Roscoe is helping usher in the final weeks of the summer with an hour-long mix of fantastic tunes that will simultaneously help make you break a sweat and keep cool during the high heat of the season.
