Raito Shares Playlist Exploring the Inspirations Behind ‘Moon Tear’

Raito returns to mau5trap to serve up a solid helping of immersive techno beats with the three-track Moon Tear EP.

It seems like just yesterday that we were first discovering the amazing music that Raito had released. Working with powerhouses in the scene like REZZ and taking on remixing duties for legends like Frankie Bones and Boys Noize, it was clear that a bright future laid ahead for this rising star.

While we got a taste of his style in the form of releases, it wasn’t until his opening set at the first VIRTUAL SELF show in Brooklyn that we heard his skills behind the decks and were hooked instantly. Since then he’s toured the country, played sets at iconic nightclubs, and even dominated the decks at EDC Las Vegas.

Last year saw Raito release some quality tunes on the Summer Of Love and Deep Down Inside EPs carrying us deep into the night, and now he’s landed on mau5trap with another stunner called Moon Tear. Clocking in at three tracks, this EP shows off everything we’ve come to love about this rising star in the techno realm.

Looking to dive deeper into the release, we asked Raito to curate a playlist of tunes that helped influence the sounds that permeate Moon Tear. Filled with tracks from artists like Pryda and Four Tet, along with music from video games like Zelda and Castlevania, it’s clear he looks beyond the norm for some inspiration.

Take a listen to the curated playlist on Spotify featuring tracks from Moon Tear, download or stream the EP on your preferred platform, and let us know what you think of Raito’s music in the comments!
