While the festival might not be happening this weekend, Lucidity is intent on bringing their community together with Virtually Lucid!
Each spring, thousands flock to California to experience one of the most unique and immersive festivals in the Golden State, Lucidity. Because of the coronavirus pandemic that has swept the planet though, the festival has unfortunately been postponed to the fall and will now take place on November 6-8. But if you were looking forward to catching some beats or planning to grow your brain with workshops this weekend, fear not Virtually Lucid is here!
The team behind Lucidity has been hard at work on Virtually Lucid, a livestream event that will take place on April 11 and 12 that is set to feature a bevy of artists and workshops to catch online from 10 AM to 10:30 PM PDT. Hosted on Zoom, this will be a fantastic way to connect with others who were planning to attend the festival.
Saturday kicks off with an Opening Ceremony and Guided Meditation from Carmen Sandoval and leads into a Somatic-based Yoga Flow from James Kapicka. Other workshops that stand out come from Maya Zuckerman (Creating Our Future Together) and Jonah Gabriel Haas (There’s Method to the Mythos). The evening hours will see Ahee, Dela Moon, Morillo, and An-Ten-Nae take over the decks for some quality sounds.
Sunday is packed with talented artists and speakers as well. The morning hours are focused on movement with Nicky LaFleur and Hemalayaa before descending into some global beats from Balkan Bump. Live Painting, Yoga, and more will also be featured on the stream before closing with a special guest and The Human Experience.
