React Presents has announced that Spring Awakening is heading to Chicago’s Union Park and pre-sale tickets go on sale on March 3.
Spring Awakening Music Festival has been an iconic event in Chicago’s electronic music scene since 2012. First happening at Soldier Field, then moving southwest to Addams/Medill Park, and finally relocating to the very edge of Chicagoland in Hoffman Estates last year, the festival has overcome adversity and has consistently been one of the most popular dance music events in the Midwest.
While there’s been uncertainty surrounding the 2020 edition, fans can rest easy now that React Presents has come through once again. Following the news that the promoters and the festival had been acquired by LiveXLive, an announcement has come today that Spring Awakening will take place on June 12-14 at Chicago’s Union Park, a mid-size park on the near west side that previously held North Coast Music Festival.

While last year’s edition of SAMF was held in an extremely far off location, the festival still provided amazing memories for everyone who made the trip to Hoffman Estates. Always known for bringing the biggest names in the dance music scene, headliners included DJ Snake, Zedd, and Kaskade with a strong undercard including Illenium and GRiZ. Spring Awakening will surely be bringing an incredible lineup once again for 2020, and we can’t wait to hear more regarding the next edition of this legendary festival.
