Okeechobee will be partnering up with HeadCount to bring activism village Participation Row back to the festival for its 2020 edition!

Patrons attending the upcoming edition of Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival will be able to participate in so much more than just music this March. The festival has partnered up with HeadCount, a non-partisan organization that advocates and encourages democratic participation, registers voters and more.

Together, they will bring forth Participation Row, which will be occupied by plentiful non-profit organizations that surround and support the Okeechobee community. Participation Row will be located within OMF’s Chobeewobee Village and is accompanied by live art installations and craft exhibitions, truly putting the “parti” in participation.

If the artistic aspect of it isn’t enough incentive for attendees to play a part in this facet of the festival, there are prizes at stake as well.

Fans that visit four or more non-profits will have the chance to win an OMF D’Angelico guitar – one signed by various musicians on the lineup. Stamps will be issued from each organization once a positive action has been taken, and once four stamps are received, participants will head to the HeadCount booth to be entered in the raffle for the guitar.

In fact, everyone who accumulates four stamps is a winner regardless, because they will be gifted a pair of SAXX Underwear while supplies last. So, participating is essentially a win-win for both you and humanity.

But wait, there’s more! Fans can also take action with HeadCount NOW for a chance to win VIP tickets and camping accommodations to OMF as well as a meet-and-greet with Kaskade. Head over to their website for more details on how to enter!

Check out the affiliated organizations for Participation Row below, and grab your pass to the portal here if you haven’t yet!

  • ARTIST INTERVIEW: 🎵
@MitiS shares Memories of his early career and releases a brand new four-track EP on his imprint to thank his longtime fans. 🙌🏽

“I fell in love with the tempo, and how it was SO different from everything else,” he told us. “It just really clicked, supernaturally. The more I wrote, the more it made me excited to write more of it.” - MitiS

He returns with his brand new Memories EP, which not only harkens back to the start of his career but serves as a thank-you to his fans. “I got super burnt out trying to write more poppy-sounding stuff, and the melodic scene is so over-saturated now that I just wanted to write how I felt and what I wanted,” he said. “I had the most fun writing instrumental music my whole career, so I decided to dive back in and have a trip down memory lane.“ 🎶

  • SHOW REVIEW:
Millions of people across the globe recently ushered in a fresh Lunar New Year. For those that celebrate, 2023 is the year of the rabbit, which represents peace, self-reflection, and prosperity. And in honor of this celebration, Pulse Events produced two eventful nights at @avantgardnerbk, featuring a roster of Asian artists and two dance music titans – @Gryffin and @KSHMR. 🪅🎶

The renowned venue displayed a 360 photo booth with a Lunar New Year backdrop for attendees, and a constellation of red lanterns suspended throughout the space with a huge chandelier right in the center of the Great Hall – and our team was there to witness the Lunar New Year magic. 💫

  • ALBUM REVIEW: 💿️
There are few artists in the melodic house and techno realm more in demand than @marshmusician at the moment. His latest LP to land on @Anjunadeep, Endless, is a glimpse of what the last few years of staying busy have meant to the producer, yet also act as a snapshot of his past as he takes his deepest influences and brings them into the present. This album is the culmination of both the artistry that’s made him a staple of the Anjuna roster over the past few years and the philosophical questions that arise from long journeys. 🛣️🎶

"I’ve written this entire album on the move, writing from so many different homes. On a deeper, more spiritual level, this has led me to question, what is truly home, and will we experience home after this life?" -Marsh
