Griz Returns to Detroit for Sixth Annual GRiZmas

The most wonderful time of the year is nearly here! Celebrate with GRiZ and two nights of GRiZmas at the Masonic Temple in Detroit this December 13 – 14.

For the sixth year in a row GRiZ is set to return to his hometown of Detroit for two sets at the famed Masonic Temple. He’ll be kicking off his annual GRiZmas event series on December 13 with an extra special throwback set featuring some of his greatest hits from 2010 through 2017.

The second night will feature his brand new visual production, The Imaginarium. A mind-blowing new stage show highlighting his most recent work from his Ride Waves album released earlier this year as well as tracks from his wildly popular Bangerz series. We were fortunate enough to catch the debut of the Imaginarium at Red Rocks earlier this summer and this GRiZmas iteration is sure to be nothing short of out of this world!

The Imaginarium production features all-new visuals, as well as a redesigned live performance and takes away the standard CDJs and replaces them with fully customized, touch-sensitive midi controllers, and his saxophone, allowing GRiZ to connect with the crowd on a much more intimate level, yet again adding an innovative edge to his live shows.

Year after year GRiZmas has always been a must-see for GRiZ fans from around the country. After releasing three EPs, an album and two massive tours, GRiZ has built a momentum behind him that cannot be stopped. We cant think of a better way to welcome the holidays than with two nights of feel-good-funk at one of the most legendary venues in America.

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
