Looking for some howling house, tumultuous techno, or lurid live acts in NYC this Halloween? Look no further than the Cityfox Halloween Festival!
Haunted puns aside, Cityfox Halloween Festival looks to be an amazing and diverse experience for dance fans this Halloween. Every flavor of house and techno seem to be represented on this lineup as well as several live acts that defy typical categorization that will help celebrate the spooky season right.
Headliners like Lee Burridge and local favorite Bedouin will headline techno and house for the event. Then, on the other end of the spectrum, Danish trio WHOMADEWHO will return from last year with their unique blend of jazz, rock, and classical sounds that somehow result in a uniquely dance-inducing sound. Nothing about this event will be ordinary, that’s for sure!
The only thing more diverse than the lineup will be the venue with 15+ acts, eight interactive rooms, and five stages.
For the non-music spaces, there are a couple of chill-out rooms and a haunted indoor playground as well as a spooky vendor shop. This event is truly presenting something for everyone and it will run for twelve hours so early birds, late owls, and endurance maniacs like me can appreciate the event just the same.
The Avant Gardner complex in Brooklyn is a uniquely expansive and configurable space in NYC. In the wintertime, the venue doesn’t shut down that area and instead adds tents and other structures to create an intimate set of rooms within an otherwise enormous space. Regulars jokingly refer to the venue as The Bermuda Triangle of warehouse rave where you can text your friends a photo from your spot, and they’ll text back the seemingly same photo, yet you’ll never find each other.
“The Bermuda Triangle?” Yeah, that sounds like the perfect space for a Halloween dance party alright. So, join me and a few thousand of your closest friends… or ghouls or goblins or ghosts… on October 26 for this once a year spooktacular and grab your tickets now via Resident Advisor!
