David Guetta and MORTEN team up for an energetic tribute to Avicii’s Chris Martin collab “Heaven”.
David Guetta and MORTEN amplify Avicii’s legendary sound with a stadium-sized bang on their remix of “Heaven”, one of Avicii’s capstone records from his posthumous album TIM. The original record features vocals from Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin and was written during the time they recorded “A Sky Full of Stars” together in 2014. It was the subject of much controversy when it was leaked online prior to its release after Avicii premiered it at Ultra Music Festival in 2015.
The record combines MORTEN’s heavy-stepping electro bomb style with a remastered harmony that Guetta uses to maintain the vitality and power of his beloved friend and colleague. The last time David Guetta and Avicii teamed up was on the Grammy-nominated single “Sunshine” in 2011, which had been featured on Guetta’s fifth studio album titled Nothing But the Beat.
