Take it Back to 2013 with This Set from Yves V at Tomorrowland

With the second weekend of Tomorrowland on the horizon we’re taking a look back at this 2013 set from resident artist Yves V!

When it comes to Tomorrowland there are certain names that will forever remain synonymous with the brand and Yves V is one of the first to come to mind. Since taking the stage at the stunning Belgian behemoth for the very first time back in 2007, he has come back year after year, establishing a residency that is truly unshakable. Now 12 years later and he continues to bring a vigorous energy to the dance floor that makes revelers come unglued for his infectious Big Room/Electro vibes.

Today starts the kick-off of the second weekend of Tomorrowland this year, so let’s travel back in time to 2013, the halfway point along Yves V’s journey at the festival. This set was particularly special to me because it was the year of the Arising of Life volcano stage, one of my personal favorites since experiencing its towering majesty at TomorrowWorld the following year. With an eye-popping backdrop, Yves V would spend over an hour unleashing a fury of pulse-pounding basslines, heavy synths, and sing-along specialties that when I look back on it now, makes me long for the days when Big Room and Electro were in their prime.

With an arsenal of tracks that were packed full of energy, there was not one stagnant body on the mainstage grounds. Feeding off of the crowd’s energy, Yves V knew just how to send the party into full tilt as each heart-stopping drop would lead the masses into the next level of party pumping shenanigans. Yes, Yves V will forever and always be one of the most beloved pieces of the Tomorrowland puzzle and we hope to see him continue to do what he does best for many more years to come!

As you prepare to travel back in time, I will leave you with this… Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever! Happy watching my friends!

Maria first fell in love with electronic music in the early 2000's when she heard a little tune called "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. Since then she has dived headfirst into the scene and is wildly passionate about the trance, techno, and house genres. Festival's like EDC, Dreamstate, and Dirtybird Campout hold the key to her soul and dance music will always and forever be a major part of her life.
