San Diego-based artists Memo Rex and Matth have joined forces in the studio to gift house music lovers with a new jam called “Fades”.
One of the hotbeds of the house music scene right now, San Diego has been churning out quality artists, festivals, and weekly shows to attend if you’re looking to groove out to some beats. Two of the artists who have been making a name for themselves as of late are none other than Memo Rex and Matth, and now they’ve come together to produce a solid house tune dubbed “Fades”.
Rising through the ranks of the house scene, both Memo Rex and Matth continue to make dancefloors move at their whim wherever they take the stage. Most recently, Memo Rex controlled the dancefloor at festivals like Desert Hearts and Genius Loci while also delivering some solid grooves on Desert Hearts Records. Originally hailing from San Francisco, Matth has been traversing the California coast with sets at venues like Kettner Exchange along with some Burning Man fundraisers as well.
Having plenty of infectious sets under their belts, it was clear that these two have some synergy in the studio with the release of their new tune “Fades”. Featuring a solid beat that will have you moving in all the right ways and a vocal sample that plays perfectly into the tune, this is a solid track that is the perfect addition to any summer playlist or mix. Without further ado, we are proud to premiere this hot new tune from Memo Rex and Matth.

“Memo and I had talked about getting together to work on music for a month or so leading up to Desert Hearts, but it was hard to find a time that worked for both of us. Shortly after we got back to San Diego, it just so happened that the stars aligned and we were able to get together for a session. 10 hours later “Fades” was born and I think we’re both really happy with how it turned out.”
