Roukin will have you grooving away to the beat with his latest EP Walk With Me that just dropped on Understated Recordings!
It was all the way back in 1994 that Roukin first got behind the decks and started spinning sets in England. Fully enveloped in the scene, he learned the ropes on vinyl and honed his skills with a string of shows across the country while also finding some time to explore the world of acting.
Constantly evolving as an artist, Roukin has now returned to the studio and stayed true to his passion for groove-laden house music with some quality releases beginning to stack up in his arsenal. Making a name for himself in the Los Angeles scene with a residency at iconic nightclub Avalon Hollywood and a radio show LA Underground, he has now teamed up with rising label Understated Recordings for the release of his latest EP, Walk With Me.
Featuring “Twisted” and title track “Walk With Me,” this two-track EP is the perfect way to get you grooving into the weekend and ready to shuffle your worries away during a night out on the town. If this is any indication of what’s to come from Roukin in the rest of this year, we’re excited to be along for the ride!

“This is really a relationship EP. WALK WITH ME is a track about taking the leap. Trusting your gut and diving into a relationship takes courage. We don’t know it will work out and sometimes we just have to take the plunge. The chug of the deep, sub-bass line drives this track for the dance floor, with delicate pads giving a textured and positive twist. TWISTED is a track tackling a relationship in a more gnarly place. NiTasha Jackson on vocals really nails the pain and torment of that moment.
Understated was an obvious choice to sign this EP to. It was written and produced in LA and Understated is one of the hottest labels in LA right now, pulling in artists from every corner of the LA underground. I am really excited to be working with their team.”
