Carl Cox is set to return to The Midway in San Francisco for his first set in the US in 2019. Will you be catching him at the Playground fundraiser?

A true legend in the techno scene, it is impossible to ignore the impact that Carl Cox has had on the industry. Whether he is taking the stage at iconic festivals like Ultra Miami or playing more intimate sets in Ibiza, his mastery behind the decks has touched the lives of all who listen. One of the most unique locations he spins at each year sees him head deep into the desert to bring his style to the stage in Black Rock City. His camp at Burning Man, Playground, consistently provides some of the best beats that can be found at the festival.

Last year, he announced that he’d be hosting a party in San Francisco to help raise funds for the annual pilgrimage out to Northern Nevada, and we’re excited to see it return for another edition. Hosted at The Midway on Friday, March 22, those who can make the trip to the Playground fundraiser will be graced with a night full of underground sounds.

Carl Cox will be joined by some quality artists who will also be spinning some unreal sets throughout the night. Returning to the fundraiser are Joseph CapriatiSyd Gris, and Brennen Grey, all of whom played sets out at Burning Man in 2018 as well. Joining the fun this year are Pleasurekraft, Mark London, and Ben Seagren, so make sure to arrive early and leave late as this is a party you won’t want to miss!

Tickets are already moving fast and are already at Tier 2, grab them today via Eventbrite so you can catch this show!

Grant Gilmore’s authoritative voice as a media professional lends credibility not common to EDM journalism. As the founder of EDM Identity he has effectively raised the bar on coverage of the past decade’s biggest youth culture phenomenon. After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment. Whether he’s covering it or not, you can expect to find Grant Gilmore attending the next big electronic music event. To find out what’s next on his itinerary, follow him via the social links below.
