Anakim Drops Two-Track 'Heightened Sensitivity' EP on mau5trap

Anakim’s highly anticipated debut EP Heightened Sensitivity is officially out today on mau5trap!

Bringing his “Intergalactic Underground Sound” to the Yuma tent at Coachella and a residency at Sound Nightclub, it has been hard to ignore the waves that Anakim has been making in Southern California. Coming off an impressive run that included the release of an official remix of Marco Viera’s track “El Edén” and a performance at the mau5trap x Daytrip party this month, he has gifted his fans with another treat as the summer season winds down with the release of the Heightened Sensitivity EP.

The Los Angeles-based artist offers up two tracks on the release, “Heightened Sensitivity” and “Ascension“, which have already picked up some steam with tastemakers in the house and techno realm. Anakim’s style and blend of progressive and techno elements come through in full force on both tracks, and these tunes will definitely give you your fix of the underground vibes that we know you’ve been craving.

“The concept of this EP has to do with spiritual awakening. A major stage in spiritual awakening is a stage of ‘heightened sensitivity’ where one may feel a bit more in tune with nature, see a oneness in all things. You may also get quite emotional on hearing beautiful music or looking at a wonderful sunset. You may also start to see auras and orbs or hear sounds that others cannot hear. The title track was my depiction of this concept. Ascension, the extremely hard-hitting B-side is actually my favorite track on the EP. Ascension is the process of spiritual awakening that moves you into a higher level of consciousness.”
