Ready for its return to the place that started it all, Transmission comes home to Prague for its 2018 edition, featuring Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, and many more!
Passing the baton from the “Spirit of the Warrior,” Transmission Prague will inaugurate its new theme this year under the title “The Awakening.” The event will play host to a number of trance’s biggest names, including Above & Beyond, Markus Schulz, and Paul Van Dyk.
Along with the debut of “The Awakening,” the Prague edition will move forward by about a month from last year’s November date into October. United Music Events is ready to unleash “The Awakening” on one of the spookiest weekends of the year in celebrating Halloween a few days early on 27 October 2018 at the O2 Arena in Prague. This year will invigorate the brand as the festival realized a grander vision and the world recognized the leading European trance brand! Despite competing with brands like ID&T’s Trance Energy (which itself has been reborn thanks to Tomorrowland and Johan Gielen) and Insomniac Events’ Dreamstate brand, the festival fully spread its wings by embracing the 2017 theme of “Spirit of the Warrior.” After debuting in Prague last November, the brand and theme returned to Asia (Bangkok, to be exact) and then shocked the masses by hosting a stage at Germany’s Airbeat One Festival.

What will “The Awakening” theme bring?
Based on imagery within the trailer, we see a number of thematic ideas emerge. First the imagery of a futuristic church (a place to unite), followed by the open sprawl of a forest (a place to grow the spirit), a rendition of Trinity College’s famous Long Library in Dublin (a place to expand the mind), a steampunk factory (a place to drive us forward), a crystalline hall (a place to clear one’s vision), and an psychedelic alien landscape (a place to take us to a deeper awareness). It appears that all of these themes and locales will engulf the experience for those in attendance come October.
