Mat Zo is bringing his groovy house vibes to multiple locations as he announced dates for the This Is A Mad Zoo House Tour!

Mat Zo‘s name is synonymous with genre-breaking sounds. Not one to be pigeon-holed into a single style, the acclaimed producer and DJ has been known to release tracks that have traversed across the worlds of drum & bass, trance, house and multiple sub-genres within the electronic music umbrella. What’s amazing is that regardless of style, he’s always able to deliver quality tunes. Thus showing his versatility and expertise in his craft.

In June, Mat Zo dropped his three-track EP entitled This is A Mad Zoo House. This three track EP encompasses so many of the classic and groovy beats that fans of Zo’s house sounds have missed. In many of his tracks, regardless of genre, Zo has found ways of incorporating funk and soul, and this is no different. He brings those deep house vibes that we have loved hearing from him. The release also represents the house end of Zo’s multi-genre label, Mad Zoo.

“With this EP I wanted to let go and have fun, not thinking about sample clearances. I found all of these samples and loops the old-fashioned way, by going to record stares and crate digging. I didn’t want to sample the same shit over and over, especially in House Music where there’s a kind of sample hall of fame people stick to. I wanted to find obscure samples that I couldn’t find on the internet and try to give them a new breath of life”. -Mat Zo

Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo events were typically located in around the Los Angeles area. Recently, he decided he would open up his parties and tour style to venues around North America and perhaps we will see them globally soon. Upcoming dates include Audio in San Francisco, Celebrities Underground in Vancouver, and most recently announced, Sound in Los Angeles.
