Just days after announcing his North American tour, ZHU has dropped some a brand new EP, Ringos Desert Pt. 1!

Yesterday, ZHU lovers everywhere rejoiced after the ever-mysterious artist posted the official tour schedule for his 2018 North American Dune Tour to his website. The excitement only continued to build, however, once fans realized that the tour dates were just the first step in his fabulously elaborate promotional campaign for his new music.

Along with the tour announcement, ZHU‘s SoundCloud was updated with a short voicemail from his manager, who is clearly less than thrilled with ZHU’s plans to bring two and a half tons of sand with him to each venue during the tour. Yes, that’s right. He is literally going to be bringing the desert to our doorsteps, and we’re so not complaining.

But wait, there’s more! Seriously, this guy’s PR team better have a fat bonus coming their way. The first song off of the album, titled “Desert Woman”, was leaked as well, playing on a loop on a secret page of ZHU’s website. You can also put in a request to order a pair of free pasties with “Desert Woman” on them by visiting that same page. But hurry, quantity is limited!

Ringos Desert Pt. 1 is supposedly the first EP in ZHU’s two-part desert-themed series. It’s been a long two years since this elusive house legend has released an album, but if the remaining tracks are anything like “Desert Woman”, it was well worth the wait. Listen to the EP below and read on for the full list of tour dates!

Pre-sale tickets for the Dune tour go on sale April 26, at 9AM (PT) and General-sale will be available April 27 at 9AM (PT). To make sure you don’t miss out, make sure to text ‘dune’ to 773-8BL-KLZT (825-5598) for first access details.

Sydney Grant

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
