Get a delicious dose of progressive majesty with Fehrplay’s “Malnati.”
Fehrplay – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
After first hearing it on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy radio show, we knew we could hardly wait to get our hands on a copy of Fehrplay’s newest track, “Malnati.” Featuring both an original and an extended mix, the Norwegian producer has given us over 11 solid minutes of driving, wildly arpeggiated progressive house that dazzles every single step of the way.
Fehrplay has released music on a variety of record labels over the years, notably making an appearance on Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends way back in 2012, as well as mau5trap, Armada Trice, and of course, Anjunabeats. With this latest release, he shows us once again that he is a huge talent and one worth paying attention to.
South Africa’s Mika gives us a brilliant new tune in the form of “Birds & Snakes”.
Mika (Sa) – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
If this is just your first introduction to South Africa’s Mika, you’re not alone. The up-and-coming artist has been hard at work putting out delectable house tunes for some time, but it was his latest track, “Birds & Snakes,” that really caught our eyes and ears, and for good reason.
Released on Dirtybird as this week’s Birdfeed exclusive, “Birds & Snakes” is one of those tracks that manages to be both brilliantly beautiful and absolutely banging at the same time, a feat that is frankly not all that often accomplished in the world of house music. Hit play and be seduced by the allure of flowing arpeggios and bird sounds, and then prepare for a supersonic bassline that’ll shatter all of your illusions.
Nitti Gritti & Vlien Boy infuse a dose of Miami flair with “Bailando” featuring Alex Dez.

Nitti Gritti is best known for his ability to push the boundaries of bass music. He utilizes his extensive knowledge of music to bridge different genres and reach a wider audience. With his newest single, “Bailando”, his fusion of that Latin flair that is the sound of Miami with trap and bass influences is absolutely amazing. Truly a unique and ingenious collaboration of sounds. Check it out below!

Dada Life unifies us together as one with their stand out single “One Nation Under Lasers”.
Dada Life – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
As Dada Life fans prep themselves for the release of their forthcoming full-length album, Our Nation, it is their latest single “One Nation Under Lasers” out now on Spinnin’ Records that is already energizing dance floors all over the globe!
“We wanted to write a melody that cuts through all the fluff in the world–like a laser–and I think we made it,” says Olle. “At least judging from the reaction when we’re playing this song at shows, it’s massive!”
– Dada Life
But what makes this track even more special is the downright incredible music video that has accompanied the release as part two of a vivid three-part short story series! The tripped out and wildly imaginative cartoon takes us straight into the wacky genius that runs through the minds of Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom. I think it is safe to say that the Dada Land empire just got a whole lot more awesome and we couldn’t be more pleased with the fire that these two continue to unleash!
Be sure to check out part one of the short series featuring single “Higher Than The Sun”!
Muzzy releases his newest single, “New Age” featuring Celldweller.
Muzzy – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
It’s not every day you get to listen to a drum & bass track that somehow includes rock vocals, but Muzzy’s newest collaboration with Celldweller for the song “New Age”, we get that fantastic combo. Celldweller’s voice gives off an almost punk rock, screamo vibe that is refreshing compared to your typical drum & bass vocalists.
With the intense bass lines and fast drum beats, “New Age” will have fans of the genre dancing in no time and loving every beat. Even listeners who are not diehard fans of the genre will no doubt get into it!
Johan’s return with “Seasons” on Silk Music proves that progressive trance still lives!
Johan Vilborg – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Johan Vilborg is one of those tour de force’s for me. After a relatively quiet 2017, the Swedish trance producer returns with a lovely EP on Silk Music. Track 1, titled “Seasons,” offers a splendid balance of his unique style of trance – uplifting yet not overwhelming with a hint of sunshine in the summertime near the beach all blended spectacularly.
From the technical end, the refined use of synthesizers and filter sweeps lend not just a balance to the tune but capture the ear’s attention at each moment. The flip side, titled “Swetro,” establishes a rearward appeal. An affectionate mood permeates from the melodies of Johan Vilborg and his partner producer Adam Szabo from their earlier days on Enhanced and Silk Music. Layered chord progressions, rhythms, and melodies all combine to sweetly rise the track above the sea of mediocrity.
Sadly, neither track is very long – roughly five minutes in length – but both showcase the veteran producer’s ability to be both mature and whimsical in his artistic approach. Grab your copy now!
Trampa releases aggressive dubstep track “Middle Fingers” and it does not disappoint.
Trampa – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
When you want a good dose of heavy, no-messing-around dubstep, Never Say Die label is the best option there is. One of its artists, Trampa, has been making waves in the bass scene with his gritty groundbreaking sound. This track is no different and will have you throwing your “Middle Fingers” with its earth-shattering assault of angry bass thrashes. Your neck might not be able to withstand this one.
MaRLo’s new track takes us away to “A Thousand Seas” with Roxanne Emery.
MaRLo – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Roxanne Emery – Facebook | Twitter
As MaRLo prepares for an upcoming show at ASOT Sydney, he released his newest track with Roxanne Emery called “A Thousand Seas.” While the intro of the track gives off a little tech energy vibe, the song progresses into a special trance track with the power of Roxanne Emery’s voice. As she sings “A Thousand Seas”, you can’t help but feel that emotional pull and call back to feelings about wanting to be closer to your significant other and how you’d crossed oceans to get to them.
With powerful lyrics and a special vocalist, MaRLo keeps the energy alive in the track with energetic sounds that get injected during the chorus sections. He adds to the song’s beauty with piano layers carefully placed in the first section of the song. We can already hear the audiences listening to this track live singing along to this amazing trance tune at ASOT Sydney, EDC Las Vegas, Dreamstate and more!
REZZ gives the Glitch Mob’s “I Could Be Anything” a bold, warped twist.
REZZ – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Elohim and REZZ served as a delightful bookend at the new-and-improved Sahara stage for night one of the Coachella Livestreams on Friday. That symmetry is reflected in the two artists’ contributions to this excellent Glitch Mob track, “I Could Be Anything.”
From day to night, the Sahara stage utterly transforms from a desert sunscape to a laser-drenched dreamland. Likewise, “I Could Be Anything” underwent a major transformation between the stretchy, languid original and REZZ’s bold, warped rework. Where the Glitch Mob’s version fills space with wub and reverb, REZZ’s charges forward with the quirky momentum you need to keep you going all through that first long night of a festival.
Hoodboi drops “Long Distance” from upcoming EP.
Hoodboi – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Hoodboi has been dropping banger after banger this entire year leading up to his Breathing Room EP on Fool’s Gold (out May 22)! Following the success of his latest tracks, “Glide” and “Tip of My Tongue,” Hoodboi dropped his latest single, “Long Distance.”The track follows the smooth and R&B-laden sounds that he has come to be known for.
Throughout the track, messages from an increasingly unhappy woman trying to reach out to her lover perfectly connect to the title. It’s as though there may be physical distance within the relationship, but judging by the tone of the message, “Long Distance” is more about the emotional void between the lovers. Feel free to take a listen and make your own interpretation and let us know what you think! Either way you look at it, Hoodboi continues to show his versatility and range and we can’t wait until his full EP drops.
