Fresh off of the release of their latest single and upcoming album, The Glitch Mob is back with a monstrous 36-stop world tour!
It’s been over three years since The Glitch Mob last ventured on a large scale live set tour but the trio is finally back and bringing a new stage and a pair of innovative artists, Elohim and Anomalie, with them. Los Angeles-based trio Boreta (Justin Boreta), edIT (Edward Ma), and Ooah (Joshua Mayer), aka The Glitch Mob, are known for constantly pushing the boundaries of live performance.
During their 2014-15 Tour, the trio debuted “The Blade”, their custom stage designed to enhance The Glitch Mob’s particular style of live performance. For their 2018 world tour, the trio announced The Blade 2.0 designed by Martin Phillips, who designed Daft Punk‘s legendary Pyramid, among other memorable collaborations.
Collaborating with Dell and Alienware for the level of computational power in precision and quality, the Blade 2.0 is designed to break down the barriers between the audience and the artists. The stage is flipped around and constructed such that crowd can observe The Glitch Mob in real-time. It’s more than just a stage – it also acts as a custom-made instrument!
Attending a live set from The Glitch Mob is always a magical experience. However, with the news that their already hypnotic and entrancing sounds will be amplified and displayed in a unique way, I can easily say this 2018 world tour is not to be missed!
Tickets for the tour are on sale now with pre-sale code “TGM2018” via TheGlitchMob.com. The public sale starts on Friday so grab them fast and get ready for an otherworldly experience.
