Nat Self, better known as ZDS (short for Zombie Disco Squad) has been a mainstay in the house music scene for years. Hailing from London, he’s been tearing up dance floors across Europe, and this February, he’ll be making his way back to the United States for a set at the inaugural edition of Dirtybird Campout East Coast.
What you may not know if you’ve only just started paying attention to this supremely talented house artist is that he’s been releasing music on Dirtybird since 2009, and he is slated for yet another on the label in 2018. “I wanted this playlist to have a flavour of what I’m going to play at Campout and I have also put in some of my all time favorites like Dj Assault’s ‘Check Stub’.
I was really excited when I saw Roni Size was playing Campout. his record label Full Cycle was massively influential to me and although the last song on the playlist (Dj Krust’s ‘Warhead’) wasn’t released on Full Cycle, it represents a period of my life when I was obsessed by drum and bass.
One of the many things I love about Campout is that the lineups are diverse and include amazing curveballs (like Biz Markie!). I hope you enjoy the playlist and I hope you have a chance to come to Campout. you won’t regret it!”
