Enei & Kasra give us a heavy-hitting dose of drum & bass with “Transmitter.”
Enei – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Kasra – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Critical label boss Kasra and Russian DJ/producer Enei just dropped their four-track Transmitter EP on Friday, and it is filled to the brim with heady drum & bass sounds that are sure to get you up on your feet. My favorite from the EP, the eponymous “Transmitter,” features the vocals of legendary MC Jakes and it’s a frenetic, hypnotic banger that feels like it belongs in the peak moments of a chase scene of a particularly gritty film.
Beginning slowly, with industrial sounds underneath Jakes’ vocals, we’re quickly propelled by the driving beat and bassline, with the occasional moment completely devoid of any sort of beat whatsoever, the soundscapes painting a picture of darkness and decay. It is, in a word, fantastic – and you have to hear it to believe. Snag the whole EP via Critical’s website or give it a listen on SoundCloud.
Get ready to dance like a fool to Emperor’s new track “Infrasound.”
Emperor – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
UK Drum and Bass producer Emperor has delivered yet another banger with the release of “Infrasound” as part of his new EP, Dispositions. True to its name, this release works the lower end of the sound spectrum and is pleasantly filled with glitchy sounds that delight the ears and draw the listener in deeper. The massive sound of this track is best enjoyed with big speakers turned all the way up!
Oliver Smith is starting off the new year with the stunning “Inside.”
Oliver Smith – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Oliver Smith is the real OG. As the first artist to ever release a track on Anjunabeats outside of Above & Beyond themselves, he has long been a staple of the label’s stunning releases, and after a stunning performance at last year’s ABGT250 celebration, there is no doubt about it – Oliver Smith looks great in the limelight, and he’s well on his way to the top. With the release of his newest track, “Inside,” he capitalizes on all of the things that made him so popular to start with – driving synths, a catchy melody, and a truly sublime, toe-curling breakdown. Buy or stream the full release on your favorite platform, and enjoy this little slice of Anjuna heaven.
GARABATTO & Charlee Muse have “Infected” us with their newest single!
GARABATTO – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Charlee Muse – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
A mellow, downtempo groove meets the truly sublime vocals of songstress Charlee Muse in “Infected,” the latest release from Spanish-born DJ/producer GARABATTO, out now on Deorro’s Panda Funk label. The track tells the tale of the complex web of emotions that are the result of a culture so obsessed with instant gratification. GARABATTO described the track as “slow-mo tropical house” – a new spin on that happy-go-lucky flavor that has become so popular over the last few years with an injection of introspection to give it more soul.
Charlee Muse had this to say about the track:
The vibe behind GARABATTO‘s beat gave off dark, but still, light feeling that inspired the lyrical story of trying to fill an empty heart with temporary satisfaction. It was so fun to work with GARABATTO and I love the song so much!
Check it out below!
No lie: “White Lies” has smooth lyrics and a beautifully catchy melody.
The Him – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
The Him’s “White Lies” opens with a soft ringing melody and light lyrics slowly adding a slight drum beat. As the song builds into the chorus a strong guitar gets added with electronic vocals pulling it all together. In the middle of the track, the quiet break will have you swaying. By the end, when The Him adds a saxophone to finish out this catchy track, you’ll be wishing you could hear it live!

Max Styler delivers the seductively sexy yet light and quirky vibes on “All Your Love”!
Max Styler – Facebook | Twitter | Soundcloud
Max Styler is setting the pace for a massive 2018 with future house front and center. Get off of your couch and prepare for an instant party the moment “All Your Love” begins pumping through your speakers. This track is Styler’s first musical offering since the page turned on the new year following up singles “Secrets” featuring CXLOE and “Heroes” with Nevve.
Out now on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records, “All Your Love” nods to Max Styler’s experimental drive and knack for delivering beats with swag, depth, and infectious vibes. And as he explores some new personal territory we can’t help but continue to love everything he dishes out. This is what Max had to say about his latest release:
“‘All Your Love’ is a little step away from my usual trap stuff and more about me experimenting with different sounds,” says Styler. “I’ve been on house kick lately and I wanted to put my own twist on it, fusing house and future bass together as one.”
Two up-and-comers from the United States give new life to the classic dubstep banger, “Bass Cannon”!
ohmy – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Rule of Eight – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
You may not have heard of ohmy or Rule of Eight but if they keep putting out tracks like this one then you are sure to see them at future festivals near you! Hailing from Oklahoma City, these producers have collaborated frequently on classics of all genres – like Flux Pavilion‘s “Bass Cannon” or Haddaway‘s “What Is Love” – while also putting out tons of original material. For their flip of “Bass Cannon”, they’ve used a ghettotech sound that will surely catch any audience by surprise!
Wishlyst drops her latest banger, “Come Back”.
Wishlyst – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
It’s the first month of the new year and Wishlyst is already on a roll with new music! The latest track, “Come Back” is her second original track and a follow-up to the aptly named debut single “Distance.” Though stylistically similar to her first track, Come Back stands on its own as a certified earworm. I found myself singing the catchy chorus multiple times by the end of the track. Though “Come Back” starts off simplistically, Wishlyst slowly adds multiple layers to the background beats and by the end, the backing track sounds more complex than it started.
With her year starting off hot, we’re looking forward to hearing what else Wishlyst will be dropping in 2018!

Marshmello collaborates with Lil Peep on emotional ballad, “Spotlight”.
Marshmello – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Lil Peep – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
One of the best things about music is it carries your soul and passion in the lyrics and beat forever. Marshmello’s most recent collaboration with Lil Peep may not have the staple upbeat synths and progressions, but it is an emotional ballad with lyrics that many people can relate to. If you have ever lost someone you wholeheartedly care about, this track will flood your body with emotions and have you tapping into your past feelings and relationships. Although a lot of Marshmello’s tracks have a similar sound this one stands out as it is lyrically driven and showcases Lil Peep’s songwriting and emotion.
Ekali & ZHU should have no problem taking the “Blame” for this one.
ZHU – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Ekali – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
ZHU and Ekali are back with a whole new melodic, sensual, banger in the form of “Blame.” The track starts off with this enticing blend of Asian-inspired piano synths coupled with seductive vocals from ZHU. The song progresses to a crescendo that then drops into some awesome drum kicks and powerful horns. There are hints of guitar throughout the song, something has become a part of the signature sound that is ZHU. I love the folk music tone underneath the whole track – a solid 8 out of 10.
ZHU saw an incredible year in 2017. Between his multitude of festival appearances to his immensely successful tour, he has continued to rise to higher levels of success and recognition. Ekali, born Nathan Shaw, has quite the record of accomplishments. After working on Drake’s album If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, it’s clear that he has a knack for creating with some of the best.
Check out their dynamite collaboration below.
Follow Drezo into the “Night” with his latest single!
Drezo – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
To kick off his epic North American tour beginning January 19, LA-based artist Drezo released “Night” just three days ago on SoundCloud. The track lures you in with a hypnotic opener that teases you for one full painful minute before climaxing with the hardest drop I’ve heard in a while. The track’s kicks and bass line carry it throughout, with the only actual lyric being an eerie one-liner: “Follow me into the night.”
“Night” is an excellent follow-up to Drezo’s equally-killer EP, Jaded, which he dropped just six months ago and acted as my first introduction to this bass king. Needless to say, ever since, I’ve been absolutely hooked on his music and couldn’t wait when I saw he’d dropped another single. “Night” will be available on Apple Music and Spotify soon, but until then make sure to check it out on SoundCloud. I wasn’t disappointed and you definitely won’t be either!
Hurley Mower hypnotizes us with his “Metronome”
Hurley Mower – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Blending the sounds of R&B with a downtempo beat that we just can’t get enough of, Hurley Mower has left us seriously impressed with his latest tune “Metronome”. Working with Manasseh on the track, you’ll be swaying along with the beat and it’s lyrics too.
The end of last year was marked by numerous releases that ushered in the blend of R&B and Electronic to create an infectious sound that will permeate 2018. Out now on Lowly Palace, we can’t wait to see what is in store for this future star in the electronic music world. Check it out below and tell us your thoughts in the comments!
CAZZTEK and Kiyoshi ask “If You Really Wanna” with their hot new tune.
CAZZTEK – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Out now on Tchami’s forward-thinking label CONFESSION, house music artist CAZZTEK has unleashed a banging tune to kick the year off right. Teaming up with lyricist Kiyoshi to help the tune leave a lasting impression, CAZZTEK really makes you want to jump up and party with this beat as the soundtrack to your night. Get his thoughts below and listen in now!
“I had such a strong response with ‘Came To Get Funky’ that I wanted to take the core of the sound design I created with it and push the envelope even further, while also using an unusual element that makes you try to figure out if it’s a flute or some sort of pitched brass, which interjects a Middle Eastern flare to the beat. Fuse it with some lyrical hip-hop flow from the mastermind Kiyoshi and you’ve got something no one’s ever heard before. When I showed this to Tchami for consideration on CONFESSION, it was an immediate yes.”

xKore – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Erotic Cafe’ – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
Heavy from the second the tune starts, xKore and Erotic Cafe’ are making serious waves in the dubstep scene with the dynamic dubstep tune “Get Ready”. Full of energy from start to finish, this aggressive tune is highlighted with sirens and an absolutely relentless amount of bass that will surely get fans breaking their necks as they headbang to the tune.
