While the Anjuna Family patiently waits for the upcoming Above & Beyond Documentary, a fresh trailer has been released!
After announcing back in November of 2017 that they would be releasing a documentary focused around their Acoustic II Tour, Above & Beyond Acoustic: Giving Up The Day Job, Anjuna Family members from all over the world were buzzing with excitement. Today, Above & Beyond have given fans around the world a glimpse at what’s in store with the release with a trailer for the film.
The trailer shows glimpses of the trio’s pasts, the process of bringing their sound to an acoustic setting, and how they traversed different cities on their Acoustic II Tour in 2016. Joining forces with two award-winning directors Paul Dugdale and Myles Desenberg to tell their story, this is sure to be an amazing film to watch for anyone who loves Above & Beyond and wants a more personal look at their story.
As you watch the trailer, which clocks in just under three minutes, you’ll also hear quotes from Jono, Paavo, and Tony as they discuss the project, thoughts on the emotional connection that many have with their music, and more. Check it out below to get ready for the release of this stunning documentary.

While many quotes from the trailer stuck out to me, there was one that I felt showed the true connection between Above & Beyond and their fans. “Going to the shows is something that has actually become a really big part of my life, I call them life-affirming nights,” making it clear, more than ever, that the impact their music has on us comes back to them in full force.

The Anjuna Family finds so much peace and love through Above & Beyond’s work that it almost seemed natural to bring the acoustic project to life. Having caught it live at The Hollywood Bowl, it was a testament to the body of work that this trio has created to see it transform from electronic music into a full-on production that rivaled any live band or orchestral performance I’ve seen.
Luckily for us, Abramorama will be distributing this film soon as it will take us on Above & Beyond’s Acoustic journey and give us insight into the inner thoughts and workings of the team who put this all together.
