Insomniac Events has just announced that EDC Japan will return for its 2nd Annual Edition!
Today, Insomniac Events, GMO Internet Group, Creativeman, and Live Nation Japan announced the highly anticipated return of EDC Japan 2018. The event will take place on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13.
The debut of EDC Japan was home to over 84,000 headliners! Similar to last year’s festivities, the festival will transform Zozo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Beach with awe-inspiring stage production and innovative art and technology, and will end with the amazing fireworks display that EDC is known for!
EDC Japan 2018 will also mark the first international appearance for the kineticFIELD Gaia stage which debuted at EDC Las Vegas 2017.
Lineup expectations are high, considering the artists that came out to support the inaugural events. Headliners were privy to the sounds of Armin van Buuren, Nicole Moudabar, Cut Snake, Zedd, Seven Lions and many more big-name artists. Of course, we can’t wait to see who will be coming out to support the second annual event!
Two-day GA passes start at ¥24,000 while VIP passes start at¥60,000. Tickets will be available on Wednesday, December 20 at 7 PM PST / Thursday, December 21 at 12 PM JT. Early-bird tickets for the highly anticipated event will be available while supplies last!
“As EDC continues to expand around the world, I’m excited to announce our return to Japan to celebrate the culture and love of dance music that brought Headliners together in 2017,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “Our home on the Tokyo Bay is the perfect backdrop to a truly unique experience that we are lucky enough to share with our international community and the beautiful people of Japan.”
