Dirtybird’s FISHER Makes Waves With ‘Oi Oi’ EP

Dirtybird fans everywhere have been waiting all summer to get their hands on FISHER’s Oi Oi EP, featuring two of the season’s hottest tunes.

In 2017, FISHER has become a name synonymous with energetic tech house tunes that get the party started like nothing else. His debut single this summer, “Ya Kidding”, was released to great fanfare and quickly became Dirtybird’s biggest track of the year after destroying the festival circuit all summer long. Today, fans will be treated to a second wave of incredible tracks with his Oi Oi EP.

The EP’s first track, “Stop It”, has become well-known by Dirtybird aficionados everywhere as “the rollercoaster song” that was heard far and wide at the label’s West Coast Campout, seemingly always filling the dance floor to the brim when it was played. The huge, booming bassline and the simple vocal pair perfectly to make an incredibly catchy tune, undoubtedly characteristic of FISHER’s signature style.

“Ya Didn’t” rounds out the second half of the EP, and is yet another track that has seen considerable play in label artists’ ahead of its release. True to form, “Ya Didn’t” is another massive track, featuring an upbeat vocal and chord structure with a deceptively simple bassline that nonetheless simply begs you to put on your dancing shoes.

Fans may recognize the pro surfer turned DJ and producer FISHER as one half of Australian duo Cut Snake, who have previously put out several releases on the Dirtybird label. One thing is for certain – he is making some serious waves with these jaw-dropping tech house bangers. If these tracks are any indication of what we can expect in the future, we have a lot to look forward to from FISHER.

Erin has been listening to electronic music on and off since the early 2000s, which is when trance music captured her heart and soul. Over the years, she has expanded into a number of other styles and genres, especially techno and house. Originally from Chicago, she spent the better part of the last decade seeking out any electronic music she could find, and traveled the length of the country in search of some incredible moments at festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld, and the Dirtybird Campout. Having since settled in Denver, she focuses her energies primarily on the house and techno scene around town and traveling to mountain and west coast festivals whenever possible.
