Escape: Psycho Circus is almost here! Who will you be catching over Halloween Weekend?
Over the years there is one Halloween event that has consistently won my heart and kept me coming back. Since its debut in 2011, I’ve attended each and every edition of Escape, and have seen it grow into the behemoth it is today.
Looking for Escape’s set times, festival map, and more? Head over to our essentials post!
Get our take on last year’s edition of Escape with the full event review!
The lineups for this event have always been stocked full with talented names, and this year is no different. It was definitely hard to choose between all the artists taking the stage this year, but I narrowed it down to five artists I believe you should see!
Grant’s Top Picks at Escape: Psycho Circus 2017
Nicole Moudaber
Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
My oh my, if you’re looking to get in the “mood” this Halloween weekend, Nicole Moudaber’s takeover of the Cannibal’s Tea Party stage will be the place to be.
One of the artists consistently putting out amazing releases, she has been absolutely dominating the scene this year with quality sets at other Insomniac parties like Factory 93 and EDC Las Vegas.
Her music will get you moving and grooving on the dancefloor, so make sure to be there on Saturday night. Check out her latest episode of In The MOOD for a taste of what’s in store!
Skream
Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
It seems like it was just yesterday that I was discovering Skream and his infectious dubstep beats, but as he grew as an artist he left the bass scene behind to begin his exploration of house and nu-disco.
Now many years into his journey, he has transformed into one of my favorite artists to dance the night away to. I’ve caught him solo, as well as in supergroups like J.E.S.&S., and each time I’ve found myself blown away by his skills behind the decks.
Don’t miss out on his set on Friday at Escape, and get a taste of what is in store with his EDC Orlando mix below!
Eric Prydz
Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
If there is one artist you see this year at Escape, it should be Eric Prydz. Now, I might not be the most dedicated Pryda fan, but I absolutely love his music and find his sets to be stunning across the board.
Whether it is seeing him in a dark room with minimal lighting or being absolutely blown away by his lasers and other visuals at festivals and other events, Eric Prydz continues to leave me awestruck each and every time I see him.
Last year’s performance at Escape was one of my favorite of the weekend, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for Headliners this year. Stream EPIC Radio Episode 18 for a taste of his style!
Kutski
Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
One of the biggest names in the Hard Dance scene, Kutski has been “keeping the rave alive” for years now. Playing sets around the world, he has dominated the hard dance scene while spreading those rave vibes that made us all dance deep into the night.
We caught up with Kutski back in May to chat about his music and passion for the underground scene, and you should get to know this legend ahead of his set!
Expect to see an upbeat set full of old-school rave vibes that will awaken the inner kandi kid that you didn’t know existed. Get a taste for his sound by way of his track “Blood Echo” with Joey Riot!
Duke Dumont
Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud
As another artist who has constantly impressed me over the years, Duke Dumont is a must catch for anyone looking to simply have a great time with an impressive set.
No stranger to events here in California, he has dotted the lineup everywhere from Escape to Coachella and even helped debut Skyline: Art, Music, Food earlier this year.
While some of his most famous tunes include “I Got U” and “Ocean Drive”, I have also fallen in love with “Real Life” and “Be Here”. If you’re looking for a house set that will keep you dancing start to finish, catch him on Saturday!
