On October 14, prepare yourselves for a truly epic night of tech house as Dirtybird’s Sacha Robotti brings his SlothAcid tour to Vinyl!

Just one week after throwing down what is sure to be an epic set at Dirtybird Campout, Dirtybird’s resident sloth aficionado himself will be bringing his blend of SlothAcid to Vinyl in Denver, Colorado. Sacha Robotti has been having an incredible year, and fans in the Mile High City can expect to be treated to a fantastic night of booty bumping beats and funky jams mixed together in a way that only Robotti can.

Joining Robotti on the bill is frequent collaborator Kevin Knapp. Dirtybird fans are no doubt familiar with his work, as his hit collaboration with Robotti, “Thump Bumper’, was featured on Dirtybird’s 10th Anniversary compilation and was voted by Mixmag as one of the 10 tracks that defined Movement Music Festival in Detroit that year.

About Sacha Robotti:

With a REAL name like Robotti, it may seem obvious that you’re set for a life working in a synthesizer factory or in Artificial Intelligence. However, this Italian-German, Belgium bred 3rd culture polyglot with a Russian first name, has a huge talent for music, which surfaced very quickly when he started to play the cello from age 7. In his teens in the 90s, Sacha discovered the rumblings of the underground house and techno scene of his native Brussels, which inspired him so much that he put down the bow and picked up the turntables. Influenced by the greats of this era: Green Velvet, Aphex Twin, Jeff Mills, DJ Funk, Thomas Bangalter, Dave Clarke, he was soon honing and mastering his own DJ skills.

Although Sacha’s sound has evolved throughout the years, you can recognize his signature in everything he creates: meandering between the dirty bass-heavy “booty” plains of electronic dance music and its’ futuristic shores; his music is funky, creative, has character, uses a palette of rich sounds and tells a story with layers of depth and emotion. It also has a sonic quality that makes it stand out. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for this gentleman with a weird little thing for sweaty dance workouts & happy bass-massaged faces…

Erin Cropper

Erin has been listening to electronic music on and off since the early 2000s, which is when trance music captured her heart and soul. Over the years, she has expanded into a number of other styles and genres, especially techno and house. Originally from Chicago, she spent the better part of the last decade seeking out any electronic music she could find, and traveled the length of the country in search of some incredible moments at festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld, and the Dirtybird Campout. Having since settled in Denver, she focuses her energies primarily on the house and techno scene around town and traveling to mountain and west coast festivals whenever possible.
