Four and a half years after its release, Audien’s “Wayfarer” stands the test of time as an uplifting trance & progressive house masterpiece.

For many of the Anjuna faithful, “Wayfarer” is a track that transports us to a certain time and place. The track was everywhere during the 2012-2013 season and even had the distinction of being the very first track to be played on Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy Radio, providing a perfect opening for the very first show as it transitioned from Trance Around the World in Bangalore, India.

Released on January 14, 2013, “Wayfarer” is truly one of Anjunabeats’ landmark releases. With its huge, uplifting chords that recall the sounds of summer, Audien’s second Anjunabeats release is an absolute stunner that can’t help but put a smile on your face. The track has aged so well that Above & Beyond even included it in ABGT 249, calling back to that extraordinary moment five years prior ahead of their latest landmark performance at The Gorge Amphitheatre.

Audien is an artist who needs no introduction. Beginning his life in Mystic, Connecticut, he was introduced to electronic music through video game soundtracks at an early age. The precocious teen was signed to Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings at the age of 17, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The dance music community has embraced Audien’s unique sound. After putting out releases on a number of well-regarded labels including Armada, Black Hole Recordings, Enhanced, and of course Anjunabeats, his career trajectory has gone nowhere but up. In 2015, he was even nominated for a Grammy – truly the cherry on top of what has already been a successful career by any possible measure.

Erin Cropper

Erin has been listening to electronic music on and off since the early 2000s, which is when trance music captured her heart and soul. Over the years, she has expanded into a number of other styles and genres, especially techno and house. Originally from Chicago, she spent the better part of the last decade seeking out any electronic music she could find, and traveled the length of the country in search of some incredible moments at festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld, and the Dirtybird Campout. Having since settled in Denver, she focuses her energies primarily on the house and techno scene around town and traveling to mountain and west coast festivals whenever possible.
