Welcome to The Landing, EDM Identity’s weekly post highlighting fresh tracks you may have missed!

Since the introduction of streaming sites like SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify, as well as release mediums like Bandcamp available for artists to release on, new music is hitting us faster than ever. The abundance of releases can almost be overwhelming, as the tools for production and releasing music are easily accessible for anyone around the world. We know that it is a difficult task to keep up with every release from every artist, so we’re here to assist you with some gems that “land” in our inboxes. In every edition of The Landing, we intend to highlight some tracks that you may have missed, or perhaps shine a light on new music for you to fall in love with.

This week’s edition of The Landing features fresh tracks from Sander Kleinenberg and Boris Smith, Luca Lush, NOT YOUR DOPE and MAX, Elderbrook, and Slow Magic, Kate Boy, and Tomggg!

Sander Kleinenberg x Boris Smith - "Trouble"
Sander Kleinenberg and Boris Smith incite “Trouble” on the dance floor!

Hitting the airwaves with an official release just this past Wednesday on Armada Deep, Sander Kleinenberg joins creative forces with fellow Dutchman Boris Smith on a track that delivers a groove that your feet will find impossible to ignore! With London based Baby Sol jumping on lyrical duties, the sum of its parts highlights a landscape of dance music that reminds us of the broad diversity and quirky character that can be born when two incredible producers come together in the studio.

“Boris and I have worked on various ideas in the past, but never really found what we were looking for. When we started working on ‘Trouble’, it became clear soon enough that it was going be something special.”

– Sander Kleinenberg

“As far as I’m concerned, Sander is one of the most creative producers in the game and he knows what works on the dancefloor. We’ve known each other for three years now and have hit the studio together on several occasions. ‘Trouble’ is the first song we’ve completed. In less than a day too!”

– Boris Smith

Going hand in hand with the release of “Trouble”, Sander Kleinenberg is launching a custom-made T-shirt design in collaboration with Amsterdam-based fashion brand Colourful Rebel! Get in on all the hype as the T-shirts will be available to fans via several contests on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as via the Colourful Rebel web shop. Stay tuned for more information on the launch!

Not Your Dope - Indestructible
NOT YOUR DOPE and MAX amaze listeners with an “Indestructible” single out on Dim Mak!

NOT YOUR DOPE – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud || MAX –  Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud

The 18-year old prodigy, NOT YOUR DOPE, enlists vocalist MAX on an incredible new single. The track, “Indestructible”, shows off both artists’ acute talents. NOT YOUR DOPE has garnered success from all angles in the dance music world. His remixes, as well as his singles, have done very well in a short amount of time. It’s no surprise, though, when you listen to his immaculately constructed songs. MAX is an already accomplished vocalist having released on Pete Wentz’s label as well as Dim Mak. Together they really blow any expectations people might have for them out of the water.

A Boy Brushed Blue Living In Black And White
“A Boy Brushed Blue Living in Black and White”: a subtle reference to Underoath, but don’t let that you mislead you – this is a future bass, chill track!

Luca Lush – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud

Luca Lush got his start as a drummer in various bands until he got to college where he discovered that his drum set wouldn’t fit in the dorm rooms. He began programming beats on his computer and over the years has created a name for himself in the electronic dance music scene. Having toured internationally and created well-known remixes of even better-known producers, he’s been able to release tracks on labels such as Ultra, Monstrecat, and Columbia.

This year will be touted as the year he moved from remix master to original producer and this track is a great start. “A Boy Brushed Blue Living in Black and White” is a track that he has been working on over 8 months ago. He couldn’t figure out what else to do with it, so he left it alone until a once promising relationship fell apart and he decided to give it a fresh look. It’s not a banger by any means, but it was cathartic for him and its masterfully done synth beat is a future bass track you will want to chill out to.

Elderbrook releases his debut album, “Talking”, and it’ll be on repeat instantly.

Elderbrook – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud

The UK producer has been playing festivals and club shows around the world and it’s about time you heard his new music. Elderbrook recently released his debut album, Talking, and the self-titled trackTalking, is my favorite from the album. The whole album is great, but “Talking” stands out to me because of its feely lyrics and infectious build up to a mellow bouncy drop. It’s one of those tracks that keeps getting better with each listen. You’re definitely going to want this on repeat and just give the whole album a listen!

"Mind" Slow Magic Tomggg Remix
Slow Magic’s “Mind” gets a superlative tropical house rework by rising star Tomggg.

Slow Magic – Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud || Kate Boy –  Facebook | Twitter | SoundCloud || Tomggg – Twitter | SoundCloud

If you’re looking for a flawless track with which to enjoy the last fleeting days of summer, look no further than the Tomggg remix of Slow Magic’s “Mind”. Tomggg has taken the original tune and infused it with sunshine, giving it a tropical house vibe that is positively glowing and feels lighter than air. Take a listen – I guarantee you’ll be hooked.

Erin has been listening to electronic music on and off since the early 2000s, which is when trance music captured her heart and soul. Over the years, she has expanded into a number of other styles and genres, especially techno and house. Originally from Chicago, she spent the better part of the last decade seeking out any electronic music she could find, and traveled the length of the country in search of some incredible moments at festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld, and the Dirtybird Campout. Having since settled in Denver, she focuses her energies primarily on the house and techno scene around town and traveling to mountain and west coast festivals whenever possible.
