We have been waiting for weeks for Suwannee’s Hulaween lineup to drop, biting our nails and checking Hulaweens Facebook. Finally, it has arrived! Suwannee Hulaween’s fifth-anniversary edition promises to be nothing short of extraordinary. Actually, extraordinary is an understatement – this is a lineup of unprecedented proportions for Spirit of Suwannee Music Park!
Today, the primarily jam band-oriented Florida-based venue Spirit of Suwannee Music Park dropped their 2017 Suwannee Hulaween lineup, featuring the most diverse set of artists in its history, spanning from electronic music to jam bands to bluegrass and everything in between. This is the Halloween event to top all Halloween events, so start planning who you want to see this October 27-29 now!
Attendees will be treated to five stages featuring over 60 musical performances. The festival graciously hosted by Suwannee favorites String Cheese boasts a beautiful array of electronic artists like Bassnectar, RL Grime, and Claude VonStroke. The festival stays true to its jam band roots with annual favorites The String Cheese Incident and the newly added The Disco Biscuits. And, for those who like a slightly different sound, acts like Ween, Run The Jewels, and Portugal. The Man will take the stage to bring their globally-headlining sound to the masses!
Regardless of your preference, you will find yourself dancing the night away. This festival is one made for the people; it does not appeal to one musical demographic. Suwannee Hulaween is a place for all manner of ghouls and wildlings to come and frolic under the moon!
The 2017 edition of Hulaween will also feature a Thursday pre-party on October 26 at Spirit Lake with a wide variety of artistic talent, including Greensky Bluegrass, Liquid Stranger, and EOTO.

Suwannee Hulaween, our flagship event, turns 5 years old this year and feels like it’s finally flowered into a grown up. Between the ever evolving and diverse musical line up with a curated blend of Jam, Dance Music, Rock, and Hip Hop, along with with the experiential art experience of the Spirit Lake installation, back dropped by the natural beauty of the Spanish Moss laden oak tree forest at Spirit of the Suwannee, there is no better Halloween party in the world.
Five years ago, we set out to take The String Cheese Incident’s annual Halloween bash, and grow it into a full scale festival. Now, we have the honor of producing an event that we’d personally want to be at. We’ve watched the process come and go full circle as we’ve grown together with the most loyal and dedicated fanbase we’ve ever witnessed in our collective career. For our 5th anniversary in 2017, we plan to level up across the board.
Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is a beloved destination for so many people in the southeast. These grounds have been a mecca for bluegrass and jam band music as long as I have been attending. The Suwannee is a place where I have met some of my closest friends still to this day, I found inspiration in photography, and even witnessed love; that makes this incredible lineup an exciting and even daunting prospect.
I have attended all four of the past Hulaweens and have personally seen the festival as it has grown to accommodate bigger names and bigger attendance. This is a whole new ball game that Suwannee has entered and I am personally excited to see how Suwannee handles this latest edition of Hulaween and the publicity it brings.
