Here is the full “panoramic view” of Panorama NYC 2017!

New York City, the Concrete Jungle, the City of Dreams; it has given rise to some of the most iconic people in history; its streets are full of a rich history spanning back to the first years of this country. Within its most famous burrow is Randall’s Island, which over the past two years has hosted on of NYC’s most up and coming music festivals, Panorama NYC. The festival is a creation of Goldenvoice, who you should already be familiar with as they are the creators of West Coast favorite Coachella. With that being said you know this is a festival to pay attention to.

This year, Panorama returns with a huge lineup, and arguably one of the best out so far. Featuring performances from Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Tame Impala, A Tribe Called Quest, alt-J, Solange, Justice, Nick Murphy, MGMT and much more, it is simply a music lover’s dream. The festival will also be hosting The Point, which is a structure the center of the festival that will host some of the best local and grooviest DJ’s in the business. Check out our preview article we did about The Point and everything we are hoping to see here.

Here is the latest video from one of my top picks of the festival, Alt-J. The track “In Cold Blood” off their latest album Relaxer that just dropped this month is one of my favorites from their whole discography. The metaphors, analogies, and images this band creates with their lyrics is something inspired by weirdness married to an absolute genius.

Christopher Rivera

Christopher, or Brown Bear as his Festival Family and most of his friends call him, got his humble beginnings in the dance music scene when he was a child from none other than his mother. The weekends were filled with dance music from the 80’s and 90’s like La Bouche’s “Be My Lover” and Corona’s “Rhythm of the Night”. In 2010 his friends showed him a video from Bonnaroo of Pretty Light’s “I Know the Truth” and he immediately dived on in. Since then he has attended every live music festival from Spirit of Suwannee’s, Purple Hatters Ball (Jam Bands), to Let It Roll Drum & Bass Festival in the Czech Republic. Chris has an eclectic palate for music; from Shpongle and Bassnectar to Oliver Heldens and Porter Robinson, he vibes with it all. He has traveled from coast to coast and around the world looking what he calls The Bear Necessities of Life; the simple things that make you smile, or you find visually moving. This pursuit and travels inspired Bearlosophy, his photographic journal of all his adventures. He aspires to travel the world taking photos for non-profit organizations or to work for one of the top EDM photography teams like aLIVE Coverage.
