Are you ready for Lightning In A Bottle? Don’t sleep on these top picks!
Lightning in a Bottle is quickly approaching and I am so excited to be heading back. To make things even better there is going to be a lake this year! If you haven’t gotten a ticket you might want to swoop one up because this is a weekend you’re not going to want to miss. Check out the ticket options here! Lightning in a Bottle returns to Bradley, California during Memorial Day weekend May 26-28. This year’s lineup includes headliners Bassnectar, Bonobo, and Rüfüs Du Sol and tons of really amazing undercard acts. With so many amazing artists playing across 4 stages it can be tedious to learn about all the music on the lineup. Here are my top 10 artists to see at this year’s Lightning in a Bottle!

KAYTRANADA
I missed KAYTRANADA at this year’s Coachella, but I couldn’t be more stoked that I have another chance to see him at Lightning in a Bottle. His most recent album 99.9% is full of great tracks and has a ton of great features. My favorite tracks are “GLOWED UP” featuring Anderson .Paak and “TOGETHER” featuring Aluna George and Goldlink. This is definitely going to be a fun set to groove at.
Vokab Kompany
I love me some good hip hop! Especially when the group is from the city you call home. Based out of San Diego Vokab Kompany seamlessly blends electronic and rap/hip-hop elements to create vibey and catchy tunes. Having played Lightning in a Bottle before Vokab are no strangers to the fest so we can expect a fun high energy set!

Too Many Zooz
After gaining recognition from their awesome subway sets in Union Station Too Many Zoos brings their talents to the festival circuit. My friends kept bringing them up too so I had to listen for myself. I was completely blown away by their sound and musicianship and they bring this quirky energy with their animated movements.
Richie Hawtin
This was another set I missed at Coachella and I will not be missing it at LiB. Hawtin is one of the pioneers in the Detroit techno scene and I can’t wait to get weird during his set. Closing the Woogie stage with Richie Hawtin will definitely be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Bob Moses
The Canadian duo’s electronic sound translates so well in a live setting and is much dancier. After seeing them a handful of times over the last year this is a set I won’t miss. This would make for a perfect sunset set. Especially with the lake!
Asadi
Asadi’s set is mesmerizing because he does everything live on his midi controller. He calls his style Persian trap and you can definitely hear the influence, but the music itself is just really cool. He brings a lot of energy to the stage for one person and he gets the crowd really energized. This will definitely be a cool set to check out if you haven’t heard him before!
Two Feet
After discovering Two Feet’s track “Go Fuck Yourself” I had to listen to more of his music. The New York-based artist released his first EP, First Steps, last year and it has received an overwhelming amount of support. I can’t wait to see how this young artist organizes his set and to headbang when he drops “Go Fuck Yourself”.
Brasstracks
I recently stumbled across Brasstracks at this year’s SnowGlobe. I was drawn in by their unique blend of electronic beats and intertwined trumpet. I’m a huge fan of when artists incorporate live instruments into their set and Brasstracks have some serious talent when it comes to playing the trumpet.
Rüfüs Du Sol
Anytime I have the chance to see Rüfüs Du Sol I will never pass it up. Tyrone Lindqvist’s voice is the perfect complement to their upbeat and alternative electronic sound. Their most recent album “Bloom” is one of my favorite albums in the last year and I cannot wait to see them again!
Big Wild
Big Wild puts on a live performance you will remember for a while. He does everything live on stage and has a bubbly personality that shines in every aspect of his set. He’ll be drumming and mixing then come to the front and jump around to interact with the crowd and keep the energy up. He even sang at the last 2 sets I saw on during his Invincible Tour! From the moment his set starts you won’t stop dancing.
Definitely do not miss this set and check out our interview with Big Wild here!
