Esports Arena Announces Launch Of EMX: The Esports Music Experience!

Esports Arena just launched EMX: The Esports Music Experience, an innovative fusion of video games and electronic music.

Like it or not, esports have become an important and fast-growing aspect of the game world. We love talking and hearing about creative ways electronic music is synthesized with games over here at EDM Identity. We love it so much that this month’s feature of What We Like, focuses on the importance of video games within the broad umbrella of electronic music! Naturally, when we heard out about Esports Arena’s latest announcement we were excited to find out more! In case you haven’t heard, last week, Esports Arena announced the launch of the Esports Music Experience (EMX).

At EMX, these two worlds will collide for the ultimate Super Smash Bros event “Civil War.” Esports Arena is both hosting and producing the unique event that will take place in Santa Ana on March 24 -26. Some of the best and brightest Smash are traveling to Santa Ana to compete for $30,000 as well as bragging rights!  In addition to the competition, there will be 3 nights of amazing live music by artists that already have a fanbase within the esports world.

“We’re not forcing a DJ in between games, We’ve seen this fail everywhere. We’re building relevant music programming that esports followers and fans of these artists can simply enjoy after the competition throughout the weekend.

“We want to authentically bring music to esports events and esports to music events. Right now music events and festivals are desperate to differentiate themselves from one another, EMX can provide fresh participation and exposure. Esports organizers have been imposing music acts on events for a few years now and it almost always is a rough fit. We think through our teams background in both industries we can best bring these worlds together.”

  • Tyler Edres, COO and co-founder of Esports Arena

“We’re not just looking to bring these worlds together at established events and festivals, we’re creating our own EMX events on a regular basis at Esports Arena facilities. We’re introducing new and established artists to the exploding esports audience and providing an unbelievable event experience to the existing esports follower.” – WIlliam Morris
