Markus Schulz's "Summer Dream" Gets Remix Treatment

Markus Schulz is closing out the summer with a remix pack of his track “Summer Dream”!

The summer began with the release of yet another smash hit from the ‘Watch The World’ maestro Markus Schulz called “Summer Dream”, featuring the gorgeous vocals of Mia Koo. It was only appropriate that the summer be bid farewell in a way that would bring the warm weather memories full circle. The track was created out of the pure excitement that we all have in experiencing this wonderful journey that we call life and the people that we choose to take along on the ride with us. To celebrate this inspiration, 3 incredible remixes have surfaced keeping “Summer Dream” alive and reminding us to hold on to those precious moments.

The Remixes:

Let’s start with Anske’s take on the track. Coming off of his ‘Epika E.P.’ release that debuted in February, Anske is on the top of his game. Right off the bat this version oozes trance fire. I am talking about a complete trance takeover, flipping what had originally been the perfect summer main stage anthem and summoning it right down into the underworld. With dark tones, expressive builds, and a deep layered melody, he brings the heat tenfold on this remix. The perfect version for peak hours at the club when it is time to dive deep down and get lost in the rabbit hole. With work like this it is no surprise that Anske is heading straight for trance stardom. He is certainly an artist that we should all be watching out for as the trance resurgence in the United States reaches a fever pitch. I have a sneaking feeling that Anske is going to be a major player as popularity continues to rise.

Next up we have the very interesting Jayceeoh remix. The track begins with a quick tempo but suddenly pulls back bringing in an urban kick with a chill vibe through and through. Just when you think you are ready to kick back and relax Jayceeoh amps it up and plunges us head first into a future bass version inspired by hip hop beats and vibes full of swag. This remix is certainly far outside the realm of what we would expect when one chooses to remix a Markus track but this is one of the reasons we love it so much!! It’s different and it’s fresh. It reminds us that just because a great track comes from a certain genre that doesn’t make it intangible. And that is the state of EDM in the United States today. Genres making the cross over, ever-changing, and continuously blending to create new and exciting genres and subgenres. Jayceeoh’s remix of “Summer Dream” is an unapologetic reminder of that.
