The variety in the Life Is Beautiful 2016 lineup has something for everyone!
Life is Beautiful 2016 features a wide array of artists, covering everything from 80’s rock to a variety of EDM and it’s subgenres. Regardless of what kind of music you listen to, odds are that they have something for you too. In all of my excitement, I went ahead and made a personal list of top 10 acts you should try to check out. My taste in music may not be your cup of tea, so feel free to see if Zach’s Top 10 is more your style. Either way let us know if you’ll see us there!
10. The Lumineers
If you haven’t seen them live, you’re in for a treat. Their style of folk rock is extremely soothing and will have humming along well into the night.
9. Third Eye Blind
I grew up listening to this American rock band. From Semi-Charmed Life to Everything is Easy this band’s strength is in their timeless hooks and classic sound. This is going to bring a lot of nostalgia.
8. Oh Wonder
This dynamic duo, in my personal opinion are highly underrated. I would describe their songs as having a chill vibe. They won’t be the set you rage at, but they will definitely be the one you find yourself swaying to.
7. Snakehips
Having found fame through Hype Machine via their remixes Snakehips has really begun to grow into their own sound. The groovy rhythms always get me bobbing my head.
6. Galantis
A personal favorite of mine. Their combination of mixing and live drum beats hits a variety of areas for me. This is the set where you will find me singing along to every one of their songs.
5. Duke Dumont
This DJ/producer doesn’t show up on a ton of lineups, but trust me you know his songs. His house roots and uplifting beats always get me to start dancing. Check out the music video for his track “Ocean Drive” and get your groove on!
4. CID
This house DJ has a knack for combining familiar songs with that house rhythm that most people are familiar with. The result is a great platform for shuffling, if that’s your thing.
3. Mija
This well rounded artist will take you on a journey. Her music always moves me and she’s not bound by a specific type of genre. She has fun, loves her fans, and attitude is contagious.
2. Rezz
This artist has really started coming into her own sound these past couple of years. I like the dark, deep, beats she incorporates into her mixes and her signature goggles will definitely have you mesmerized. 1. Gryffin
This breakout artist has made a big splash in the indie dance music scene. His remixes have been at the top of Hype Machine quite frequently. I’m excited to see his live set and vibe out.
